1/8 to 1/4 mile conversion
Does anyone know what the conversion is from 1/8 mile times to 1/4 I run 10.20s in the 1/8 and I`m hoping to make it to a 1/4 mile track this sunday and would like to have a rough est. of what I would run.

Welcome to Thirdgen.org
Multiply by 1.56 is the closest conversion. There is no true conversion since there are too many factors in that last 1/8 mile.
You "should" be able to run 15.9's or at least very close to it.
My last timeslip says 7.150 in the 1/8. Converted, it would be 11.154 and I ran 11.207.

My '57 runs 9.5-9.6 1/8th miles. Looking at my last set of time slips where I ran out the 1/4 (i.e., didn't hit the brakes at the top end), the factor was in the 1.54 range. I tend to run higher MPH because I'm not geared to go across the finish at redline, but you probably aren't either. The factor was slightly higher at Topeka, where it was running 8.6-8.8 1/8ths, but the fastest run listed in the sig was still 1.54.
The Camaro, which runs 10.3 1/8th, has a factor of 1.535. That's going through the traps in 2nd above redline (because the tranny won't shift from 2-3 at WOT).
So, let us know what yours does after you get back.
