A couple of us Thirdgenners went to the track Friday

Friday, HardRockA4305, Vicv8rs91, taturbo, my friend Travis's 91 RS, and I went to Cordova with some other cars too (non third gens).

I managed to run a best of 15.06 at 94 MPH with wheelspin and some other problems limiting my times. (Street tires, Secondaries not opening past 3/4, restrictive exhaust, and 2.73's) I found my car liked it best when I shifted at 6800 rpms.

I also got a ride in taturbos car down the strip. Very nice TTA I may add!! :hail:

I believe Dave got a best of 16.4's and not quite sure what Vic ran but I heard he ran a high 15. I also ran against him just for fun.

I had a great time and I may run next Friday also. I want to tweak a couple things too.

Yeah, 6800. The engine can go to 8500 but peak HP is at 7000-ish.

Actually, the picture is freakin huge, thats just the middle cut out of it. I'll try n get some stuff up on the site when I get time. Its big enough to use as a background if you'd want to. Its 1600X1200.

Lol not to happy about the times huh Vic?

I should try Byron sometime... I've never raced anywhere but Cordova so I don't honestly even know the difference.

I'm probably done until the new motor goes in though. I know pretty well what it'll do as it sits, and I gotta make sure it lasts 6 more months. I changed the oil 400 miles early today... but it looked 2000 miles overdue when it came out. My freind Nick saw the oil and said "Been racin havn'cha?"

Yeah, I need an oil change. I do have one free ticket for an oil change I won for 3rd place in a burnout contest at a car show.

I wish I could have gone to see your cars. D#mn job. Oh well. Heh, when I get my thirdgen I will realize how lucky I am to live 4 miles from a drag strip. I sit out at night and listen to the cars from my house. Music to my ears......

His name is Terry Gardner. He builds mostly race motors for circle track guys. It's good to know people!
