thoughts on times for this combo

ok heres what i have decided to do with my LO3.i was wondering if you guys could give me a ballpark figure of where i should be running.
-world s/r torquer heads with some bowl work done
-road demon 625 VS
-weiand stealth intake
-LT1 cam or similiar grind and 1.6 rockers
-MSD 6AL box
-NOS super powershot using a 125 shot
-hedman headers going through 3inch catback to flowmaster 80
-removed smog pump and a/c
-700r4 tranny with 3.42 zexel/torsen posi

ok what times do you think i could get on and off the juice with good hook off the line?right now im at a 15.8@86 as my best times with the mods in my sig, which really isnt much anyways.im hoping for a good low 14's time off the spray and low 13's,high 12's on it.what ya think?

Sounds like a pretty good combo, NJ SPEEDER ran 14.20's last I heard with Edelbrock performer heads (which flow slightly better than the S/R torquers) but he still had the stock L03 cam, so low 14's would probably be realistic, and the wide lobe seperation ofthe LT1 cams responds to N02 well. I would stay with EFI (ESPECIALLY if you still plan on driving car a lot) you could get a TBI intake and an adjustable FP regulator and save $$$, and the car would still perform probably as good as or better with EFI. If you go to carb, plan on buying another distributor and coil also. I also don't care for VS carbs, I would get a 600 DP if you were are determined to go with carb personally. I am about to change the engine in my RS with a similiar combo as yours except I'm gonna be running pocket ported 69' #041 heads that I got off a 69' Vette engine. I am also using a 327 (just because I aquired a freshly built shortblock in a trade cheap) The shortblock is a '65 small journal engine with new .030 over pistons , stock rods w/ ARP bolts, Clevite bearings, melling oil pump, and speed pro rings. I actually built it for a friend's 67 Chevelle, but he sold the chevelle, and I traded him a set of 91-92 Z28 wheels and tires and cd player I hadv about $100 in, so I did good. I am going to run an LT1 cam with Comp retrofit Hyd roller lifters that I am taking out of my 82 Z28. I am keeping EFI, but I think it will be a fairly stout street engine.

hey thanks for the response basett_racing.with my mods ill probably only be in the mid-high 14's until i get my suspension done.he ran that time on a redone suspension, and had optimum hook.ill have to be a little less agressive off the line, and i doubt ill have a higher stall torque convertor until winter time, when the car will be off the road.i was hopingto be in the 14's though, and the squeeze should put me in the lower 13's,maybe 12's!!if camaroracer1992 did it on a mainly stock LO3,i should sure as hell be able to do it on a semi-built one.
