Found a replacement for the Camaro! Good choice?

I may have a replacement for my camaro. :lala:
I have a 83 Nissan 200-Z avalible that has a near blown 2.0 turbo and a 5 speed RWD. Would this be a good car to pop a 355 in and could I use a WC T-5? From the little Ive seen A t5 could replace the current tranny easily, or should I stick with the TH400 since this will be a drag car? Has anyone seen any of these cars converted in to SBC drag cars?????? It would make one hell of a slepper!

It says, Z 200 but is not a Datsun Z car like one might think although It is a hatch back.

I sold a couple 700R4's to a guy that does these exclusively. A lot of money IMO to do it tho.

Thanks for the replies guys!

I found out all the poop on the car a couple days ago. Its a 84 nissan 200 SX. What was confusing me for awhile is, it has badges that state Datsun although its a nissan. damn Jap crap. I dont think the guy who currently claims ownership has the title but I should be able to storage fee/mechanic lean my way to a title.

Hey a guy who lives 30 feet away from me(neighbour) has a old Datsun 240Z. Guess what? It got a SBS 327 souped up and runs high 11's and low 12's.he modded it a good bit this past winter and can't wait for the track to open to see what it'll do now.

Let me tell you this;

- With the big new motor there isn't alot of room left under the hood.

- He put on a weind lightweight intake manifold this winter and that with the holley carb and edelbrock air filter on top touched the hood! Now he has to get a cowl, or scoop.
