If your stock suspension system is in good shape maybe. I wouldnt bet too much on it though. Some of the guys with decent tires suspension mods and such are running around 1.89 or so. 2.0 is a ok number.

I pulled 2.0x shorts with my '85 t/a running bridgestones. I had zero wheelspin but 305 was pulling as hard as it could. A 350 should be able to get better times with traction.

The best I've ever gotten on radials is a 1.95 with the stock suspension. Last year I had put in a Vig2800 convertor and was running drag radials but still on the stock suspension and I pulled a 1.79 60 ft. Did that ever feel good.

Well, I appreciate everybody's reply...
I went to the track on some 235 60R15 (the limit for that class was a 245 tire). I borrowed them.
Ran a 2.01 60' on two passes.

I cussed that alittle bit and went signed up in another class and put on my 275 50R15 nitto's. With a hundred pound weight in the back I pulled a 1.84 60' and only slowed down one mile an hour.
My best for an 1/8th was 8.55, which was that pass.

I yanked the tranny out, I'm putting a 10" converter with about a 3500 stall. Lets see if we can pull down a couple more tenths now.

again thanks for the replys.
