Nope sure don't, how far away is where you're at now? I'd just ask around local racers then, but remember if you're honing and cleanup, I'd make sure if you're running new pistons to get it all balanced again.

mmmm i'm about 150 miles away, Lafayette indiana. yea I found a vortec block around here that I might use, throw some keith black flat tops in there to get my compression up, and prolly pay the local speedshop to balance.

Re: Shops in Lafayette Indiana

Hey, I grew up in Lafayette and Bane's did a couple of sets of heads for me over the years. Never had a problem, the work was good and I thought the prices were reasonable.

K-Motion at US52 and Lynhurst(or Underwood, can't remember) used to do good work also, but they don't have a machine shop anymore. There was also a machine shop behind K-Mart on SR38, I can't remember the name, but stay the hell away from them. They did a rebuild for a buddy and it wasn't right, burned oil, bent push rods and the list goes on.

There used to be a guy named Jeff Cuppy (not sure of the spelling) that did work in his shop behind his house, he was off of SR43. He does excellent work also, but he will need some time to get it back to you. Look him up in the phone book.

Just a couple of options

if you havent found a shop yet, diamond machine in monticello does good work on domestic stuff, also auto specialty in lafayette does a decent job.
