It's getting close to that time of year again folks! This time we've got the track all to ourselves, and the weather should be GREAT!
We've got cars all across the board from 8's to 14's (and even 17's if Aaron comes out).
Of course, the 2 dolla race series will be happening as usual.
There is also talk of a $5-10 buy-in for a winner-takes-all bracket race.. more details to come.

I understand this is a little west for those in Indiana. But the info is here for those interested in going.
I had a great time earlier this year even without my car. But this time my car will be there. I'm gunning for 13's, and assuming that everything is running right a B-body LT1 w/CAI, headers, and full exhaust should be able to make it. If it doesn't, I'm opening the cut-out.

I hope to be underway by that date, and I would love to get some runs in before the end of the season. I am assuming that only Fbodies can run? I got a friend with an Lt1 vette that I am trying to talk into taking to the track.

Last year there were several turbo cavaliers, an El'Camino...etc.
Turn out was about 64 cars.
The $2 bets are fun to watch, you can call out whomever you want. I called out Xpndbl on his "14.2" second drag car and asked how many bus lengths he'd give me, but he wouldn't give me any.

Well, the car is running, I just need to get my damn master's thesis in the rear view before I can get plates, and deal with a miscellaneous issues. Sounds like a blast though, we will definitely have to setup some sort of convoy. I haven't seen anybody on this board for a while.

Hell, I don't know if my car will run a 14.5, a 14.0, or a high 13.x. I suppose I shall find out at the track. Or I may visit a drag strip for a T&T sooner than that. Need to get the underhood wiring taken care of first.

Car: Firechicken
Engine: 350 + 30 over, 400 crank
Transmission: autotragic, stalled
Axle/Gears: not a one tire fire, thank god!

I was at the hooter's meet and they seem like a good crowd. I think they don't like me cause of my slightly off color jokes. I wonder what a 4200 lbs firechicken would run with the 350 and an auto and no juice. Would it be wrong to aim for 15's?
Can I still bring a 3 cylinder metro to spray down the track? The MFBA guys said it would be ok. One hit of a 250 shot on a geo would be a good enough reason for everyone to come out.

Um, my car doesn't leak oil. Well, the fiero does a bit, but not the bird. I think that comment was a bit much. I don't have a ton of money to put into my bird with the economy being so rough and I was plannin on selling her soon anyways. I've done everything to the car including engine, trans, suspension (not done), and over $3000 in stereo.
It's not perfect but it was reliable enough to go from chicago to fort jackson seven times in the past 6 months! I had one small issue with the fuel pump and replaced it with the racetronix pump and hot wire kit.
Sorry that isn't good enough.

Im pretty sure he was referring the spraying your Geo with a ridiculous shot. Do you know what happens when you throw a rod out of the block?

The geo is my friends car that he got for free from his family and he likes his STI more than the metro. We have an extra NX kit in his garage and jets for up to a 300 shot. I figured it would be fun to see what the geo would run on maybe a 125 shot. It was a thought, I have to see if he is working on halloween. I was wondering if I will come out cause it sounds like I may have to start work early and give up the rest of my vacation. We shall see.
