Re: Que the Music...
I can't wait to here it with an exhaust thats all buttoned up.
However, its likely that for the moment it will be at Volo open y-pipe. Not sure if I'm gonna have time to get the exhaust on. I need about a 3 foot section made up with a custom bend. Might be crush bent for now because its cheaper and money is getting TIGHT.

Re: Que the Music...
I'm still waiting on parts. I have some hesitation at idle when revving, however since i don't have a cooling system yet (no radiator) I can't do much to diagnose it.
Also the brake parts were supposed to come in today, but no word yet on brakes.
I'm trying, but waiting for parts sucks.
I did get plates for it though, so in case it is ready by sunday, it will be legal to go.

Painting wheels on a patio is a bad idea.
But the last one is done. Gotta get them mounted tomorrow.

This is what the wheel on the right looked like before I did all the work on it.

Re: Que the Music...
Well, I tried. However, I've run into a problem that as stupid, as it is simple to solve.
My transmission shift cable is busted. I can't actuate the transmission anymore. And I've run out of money to buy a new cable, nor do I think I could get one in time, if I did have the money. looks like my next goal is the the MFBA track rental.
So, if anyone wants to drive about 12 miles north of Volo, you can see it run, but its not going anywhere.

Re: Que the Music...
I added up all the receipts. From bad parts, and other things I've dropped around $600 in parts this month. So it was a good effort, but I can't justify going negative to finish it for Volo. I'm aiming for the 9th now.
On the plus side, This will give me time to get the exhaust buttoned up (I refuse to have exhaust leaks!) and attempt to paint my hood so it doesn't look like this:

Re: Que the Music...
Also, I think the cooling system is not working correctly. I'm getting some major vacuum after the engine cools. Enough that the hoses to the radiator collapse, and their is enough vacuum inside the radiator to prevent me from removing the radiator cap till I crack the bleeder screw.
I've also got some bad leaks where the cooling lines attach to the transmission.
So I've go some serious issues to work on. But I think I've run out of time. If i can get friday off, I'll try one more time, but at this point I doubt its going to make the rental. If it can't I'll just give someone my spot.
So much work to do, and only one day to do it in, then even if I get everything running, only a few hours to actually drive the car and make sure its ready.

Re: Que the Music...
And also discovered why my park/neutral switch doesn't work. Previous owners took the large green and purple wires and just bypassed them by splicing them together. I would have reconnected it, but they cut the wires too close to the connector and I may not be able to solder it back together. Still, I'm not worried. I know not to start the car in drive.

Re: Que the Music...
That would be good, but I already bought and installed a new one.
