Suspension clunks and pops normal??
i just re did my whole suspension with tubular LCA's with relocators, panhard, Jegster torque arm and now i get a clunk when getting on and off the gas that feels like the torque arm.. is this normal with a jegster torque arm?
i checked everything today and everything is tight. actually the shocks and sway bar endlink came a little loose but those are retightend and i still get that same clunk when moving and geting quickly off or on the gas... other than that the suspension seems to work very well.. it handles well and under acceleration you can feel the rear of the car pickup and just hoooooooook...its pretty cool

the torque arm is adjustable and the pinion angle was not set with an angle finder but it does look good.... possibly the trans mount ill check it out..

I agree with the trans mount as the prime suspect. I have had to replace it in both of the formula's that I've owned.

If you changed the torque arm on a lift like <[]> where the wheels hang,, double check the rear torque arm bolts,,, just a shot in the dark

Re: Suspension clunks and pops normal??
is it all poly mounts? is it a trans mount or brace? my rod ended brace mount torque arm on my old 4th gen was very noisy.

Re: Suspension clunks and pops normal??
I did it on the floor in my garage with jackstands. i tightened all the bolts with the axle as near rideheight as i could.
the torque arm is rodended to a sliding link mounted to the tunnel. everything else is poly mounts.

Re: Suspension clunks and pops normal??
depending on how loud the clunk is it could just be normal noise from a rod end setup (would still check it out). not sure how that sliding link works that could be the cause also. maybe the sliding mechanism is not adjusted right or something. i would advise having a race shop adjust your setup, it makes a big difference. you could try switching to the stock torque arm to rule out all the other new pieces.

Re: Suspension clunks and pops normal??
i drove it alot today and triple checked everything again... one noise is my exhaust rattling on the body and im pretty sure the torque arm noise is normal due to the rodend and sliding link
