Re: sneak peek....
How big of an intercooler will you be running, and are you still going to stick to the carb?

Re: sneak peek....
Its respectable but I am seeing more and more of these imports running high 12's to low 13's and that just makes me want to stay one step ahead I guess and that gives me the erg to go faster.

Re: sneak peek....
first of all stop!!!!!!!! a lot of those "imports" arent as fast as they think. yes there are a few which are quick but those guys dumping 25-40k into those rides plus theyre usually all "gear"..theyre done after 110...second stop this urge to go faster thing because youll never be "the fastest" and there will always be faster cars than you. are you going to continually upgrade when you see a faster car?no.you got a 12 second ride. enjoy it for what it is. im sure its a nice ride and not many folk running 12s. invest your dollars elsewhere. use your car as is for shows and hanging out and cruises.stop worrying if its not fast enough. keep in mind youre bordering on the edge of speed in that to start cracking 11s and 10s or less youll need what essentially would be a different "class"(for lack of a better term) of car/engine/chasis. look at low 11 or 10 second cars and see what they have that you dont? power adders like s/c and or nos. street slick, wicked stalls,4 link set ups out back, radical motors with high lift cams and high compression requiring high octane fuels, fancy programmable ecms....sure it can be done with your car but it will cost and for what? to be beat by xpendables new twin turbo job? if you have the disposable income to do it go for it,but if not dont because in the end when its all said and done youll have less $$$$ in your pocket and a car that accelerates a tad quicker than before. is that going to really change your life? enough said...........rock on and see you at third gen fest.......

Re: sneak peek....
Looks real good so far, Steve!
Most don't realise/apreciate the fabrication work necessary to accomodate those pumps. Looks like you're doing a great job!
Are you beginning to run out of "plumbing room" yet?
P.S. I find the 4-letter R word offensive as well

Re: sneak peek....
come take them sometime then
haha i WISH this thing would be fast enough to only need to give you the hit. Unfortunately these small turbos won't make this car flying at all, but it'll teach me how to tune a blow thru carb setup at least.
so for the pic collectors at least:
Also got my new converter installed and SFI flexplate along with both turbos mounted and the downpipes ran to the end of the engine block for now. Also have the tank pulled and a -10 feed line added to the sump and I welded the -10 return to it while also welding shut all the factory lines on the pickup and return only leaving the float and vent line in place. Coming along nicely now, won't be long.

Re: sneak peek....
Its all custom fabricated. Its just some vortec truck manifolds and custom cut and welded pipes we made at the shop. Store bought turbo manifolds dont fit too well as Steve found out
