TGO Xmas dinner.

Tradition should be maintained. So far we've always had it at stateline, sometime in december. Shall we do so again?

Those interested should reply.

Quick Answers.

Yes, I'm alive.

No, my car is not alive.

However, possibly two birds next year, working on that now.

Re: TGO Xmas dinner.

Hooters isn't what i would call a good place for a real dinner. Someplace with real tables, chairs, and food would be nice.

Never signed up because I don't want to drive all the way out to Orland park for crappy food.

Re: TGO Xmas dinner.

you're signing up to spend time with crappy people....cough cough , i mean you're spending time eating crappy food, drinking crappy beer and hanging out. Sorry if you don't approve, next time I'll bid for 4 star restaurants only

Don't worry all the northsiders have expressed their disdain for hooters and noted they will not be coming. Next time white castles or pizza hut should do it.

Re: TGO Xmas dinner.

I did not sign up for reasons other than bills, but we used to do hooters for everything, it got old real fast.

I really dont understand the thirdgen/signature room comment. If you thought it was funny, good for you.

It seems the southsiders never come up north, and the northsiders never go south.

Re: TGO Xmas dinner.

I've driven further into indiana just to hang out before, used to go to Miami Subs every fri. night and that was a haul.

On another night it would be fine, however for a Xmas dinner a more quiet place to eat would be nice. Even BWW has better food and its the same type of place as Hooters.

Re: TGO Xmas dinner.

how is bww any quieter than hooters? and if i want a quiet dinner it'll be on a date, never knew the noise was an issue when you're out with your car guy buddies.

Re: TGO Xmas dinner.

No its not, but the food is way better than what Hooters has. Same place gets old. And I wouldn't go to BWW for a Xmas dinner either.

Re: TGO Xmas dinner.

Hooters in Orland is a good place to get together because its centrally located. Its more likely to draw people from Indiana, southern Illinois, western Illinois and from up north too. Northern illinois is a much longer haul for more people then Orland is. Its just more convient. Plus I live close by and Im in a calendar which means I'm rad. Its also good because it has the side room so we can kind of have an area to ourselves were you can walk around and mingle. Plus its a bar so they have pitchers and whatnot which make it a little more condusive to partying.

Not all "Car" guys are the same. I think bill is just wanting a more relaxed dinner like we have had in the past. Some of us are getting too old for noise.
