Anyone else here run Kumho Ecsta AST's?
They havent been out too long.
Took myself a trip to tirerack in South Bend and was going to get the Kumho 711's for a decent cheapie tire.
After talking to the rep I found out some more info on the AST and that they have a higher tread wear rating and a stiffer sidewall than the 711's do.
I took a gamble and bit on the AST's for $60 a piece in 245/50-16.
Drvoe them about 800 miles now, to bowling green and back and all I can say is wow I'm impressed.
They handle good and seem to offer pretty good traction from a standing start. Do okay in the rain too. Ride quiet and smooth as well, lot more quieter than the old micheleins were on concrete too.
Anyhow, if anyone is looking for a cheap decent tire, I would say give this one a thumbs up.
As a side note 4GTA rims loaded in a Saturn sucks :-) On the other hand all 4 Kumho AST for the GTA and four Kumho Powerstar 758 for the Saturn was $505 total installed.

Still satisfied with the AST's? Do you drive them during this colder season?
Thanks,

I still like them.
Seem to do fine in cold or hot weather also.
No complaints in rain either.
No snow, and not planning on seeing any either lol
