Car: 1988 pontiac Trans Am GTA
Engine: DFI,Single Plane,200cc Dart I.E,355
Transmission: Th400 PTC converter
Axle/Gears: Stock Ausie 9 bolt w/3.45 gears
Shops to recondition GTA rims in IL or IN
i'm thinking about having my GTA rims reconditioned, and was wondering if anyone knew of any places to have it done? i live in alsip IL which is right off of I294 exit 127th and cicero.....wasnt sure of any places that do that....thanks for the help

Axle/Gears: Strange S60/3.73
pomps tire did my 92 z wheels again. think it was like 90 bucks a wheel. they fix all the curb rash, paint them and clear them again. lifetime warranty on paint and clear coat too. they did an excellent job.

Chicago Rim and Tire? It hink that is right used to some of our work on Jaguar rims...
Also we used Trans Wheel, sent alot of stuff to them, they did some good work. Basically you pay according to the amount of damage. Try looking them up and seeing if u can find a number.

they have two locations. one just off 80 in hammond IN right next to VSI or what ever the parts warehouse place is called. the other is in channahon IL (I think that is how you spell it) that is where I brought mine too. not sure if they do the repair at the IN. facility but I bet if you brought them there they would take them to the other one in IL.

mostly just need the outer rim refinished, its strating to oxidize on a a couple of the rims.....there is almost no curb scuffings..i will definatly look at that shop rs/ss...thanx for the help

There is a place by me that deals with redone rims. That is where I got my one GTA wheel, though I wouldn't recomend that method as they charge about $200 if they have to send a rim out to you.
Transwheel does really good work though, and they have very fast shipping.

those rims look nice, mine still have almost as much shine on them, just a couple of small areas that have the oxidizing....if u got to http://members.cardomain.com/88gtabandit and u can see how the look in the pic.... they look little better in the oic than they do in person...if any of u guys wanna meet up and cruise sometime, i should have my tune-up and new starter done soon...i'm also on chitownracing.com as gtadave....
