hey andy,
well i am game for a caravan as well. Anywhere we meet is fine, as my car will probably be trailered to denny's anyways, we'll have to see. I "might" drive it we'll see since it is a "street car".

I'm going to try and make it this year even if all my bodywork isn't done and *** knows what engine will be in it (the 305 :yuck: or if the 355 will be done by then). I'll be coming down 94 so any meeting place not too far off of that will do it. I don't know what route you guys took so will someone fill me in? I really would like to go this year it sounds like everyone had a ton of fun last year

What we did last year was great, I had alot of fun and would be willing to lead the group again! First, we met up at Chicago Ridge mall, right by Bennigans, sat there for half an hour, then went to Portillos. We sat there for awhile, and went on. The only trouble we had was leaving Portillos, we got separated by a light and had to stop in another lot, then from there someone had to stop traffic so we could all get through. I'm thinking about other places right near there so this won't happen again, but we could make it work.

The two meeting spots last year were at 95th and Ridgeland (about a mile east of 294) and 127th and Route 83 (about a mile south of 294)

Hey guys whats up. Looks like Ill be moving back to Chi-town for good at the end of april so Im definitly planning on going to dennys for the party. Ill definitly head down there with you guys in the caravan too. I dont know if ya want to or not but my family's one shop is right down the street from the Chicago Ridge Mall on South West Highway in Oak Lawn (its the Milex shop). If you guys want to meet up there (and ill have to make sure this is cool with my dad, he may come with me to the party) we may be able to arrange for some doughnuts, coffee and whatnot for breakfast. Just an offer if u guys are interested. The only downside is our parking lot isnt really big and depending on how many customer cars we have in the lot we might not have any space (we should have room for around 10 cars or so in the lot at least though) but there is more parking right next to the shop on the side street. If youd rather just keep it in the same spot thats cool too, probably easier to find for most people. Let me know what u guys think. Either way, ill be there with Chicagos loudest black 88 IROC with a muffler lol. See ya then.

Andy,

Some of us cheeseheads are putting together a cruise down to Denny's.

Maybe it would be possible if the timeing is right that we can hook up with you guys down around Chi-town somewhere, and bring 2 caravans in together?

88blkiroc- Glad to see you're gonna make it this year. Meeting there would be alright with me, but hopefully we have more than 10 cars coming. We'll see as the date gets closer.

rsscoty- Merging the two caravans would be great. Are you guys gonna be taking 294 down? Cause we're meeting just a mile or two off of 294 so it would work great if the timing was good. How many people do you have so far?

We are just starting to put together some ideas, however I know of about 10-20 thirdgen owners here in town that I'm hoping we can get together.

I will keep you posted on our progress.

Cool, that would be really nice to have a really huge caravan.

Edit- I have set up a post for everyone who will be coming to reply to. I made Bennigan's the official meeting spot because it looks like we might have a lot of people coming. If we don't have too many, we can always change it to Milex, cause I'm sure donuts and coffee would be nice

Anyway, check out the post here

Thanks everyone.

Alright, we definately have the interest to get the Caravan going so here is the plan:

So far, the people interested are okay with meeting at the Bennigan's parking lot by the Chicago Ridge Mall on the corner of 95th Street and Ridgeland Avenue in Chicago Ridge so that is where we will meet. Last year we had two meeting spots and we merged the two together, but so far I don't think anyone is interested in the Portillo's metting spot (127th and Cal Sag/Rt. 83). If people from around there want to meet there and don't want to come out to the Bennigan's one, then that will work and we will combine the two again. But until then, the meeting spot will be Bennigan's.

Since this thread is already a sticky, I would like anyone who will be meeting us to reply here so I can start getting everything organized. Third Gen Fest '04 starts at 11:00 am, so I would like to leave Bennigan's by 10:30 am. I want to make a list of everyone who wants to be a part of this that way no one will be left behind if they are late.

So if you plan on meeting at Bennigan's (or if you want to meet at Portillo's), post here and also PM me your cell phone number if you have one and I will PM you mine. That way if anyone is late, we can get in touch with them and no one will have to cruise there alone. Thanks guys.
