July 11th, Bloomingdale McDonalds cruise night. 7:00pm
Since I come out to Miami subs once in a while, I was wondering if anyone wanted to make the trip down here for a night of fun. No ricers there either. ^_^
LOTS of nice street rods, with plenty of muscle. Not a single grain of r|ce to be found though.
Later on if you feel the need you can cruise down to the McDonalds in barrington and watch the idiots come after 10:30 when Streets of Woodfield gets out. Those are where the real idiots are, lots of racing, lots of cops too so you have to be a bit more cautious of what you do.

You were there? You didn't happen to see the thirdgens all next to eachother by the grassy field did you? A grey v6 firebird, and my white GTA.

I might actually be able to make it. I probably work til like 4 or 5. Where exactly is it and how do I get there?
No guarantees though. Today, I was driving on 95th towards La Grange. If anyone's from around here, they know La Grange is under some major construction, so 95th is down to one lane each way. There was a car that broke down going east, and I said "Man, that sucks. Broke down on a one lane road". This was a block away from La Grange. I get to the light at La Grange, and realize I had forgotten to lock my t-tops when I put them on cause of the rain. I shut off the car, lock them, go to start it and it WON'T START. Volts gauge was on about 9. So needless to say, that sucked. The battery is charging now. Hopefully its just the alternator since its got a warrenty.

Hey, I'll be there whether you guys are there or not. I've come out to miami subs a few times and its simply too far to come out every friday night, or even every other weekend.

yeah fruity one,
i was there,
my uncle decide to park next to you guys after that one car left..
he said he wanted to park next his own kind haha (f-body)
i did see your car and the grey one..
there were too many camaros there that night and not enough firebirds....which is typical...of couse i don't have anything against the camaro but like i say for every firebird you count/see there there will be 5 or more camaros...
i think next time my freind with his GTO, my uncle with his 67 bird,
and i'll bring my GTA next time by...
i'm gonna try to get a hold of my other buddy he's got two T/A's
one a 77 and another a 78 ...one is his restoration car, the other is daily driver
hope to see you all there

I'm close to home for the 4th tonight, is the cruise still going on at McDonalds? I don't think many people will show up otherwise.
BTW, my AIM name is FruityGTA if anyone here uses it.

Open this link and click on "Get driving directions to this location" when the mapquest window finishes loading.

Its the McDonalds on the Corner of Lake st. AND Bloomindale rd.
Plug this information into Mapquest.
Lake st. AND Bloomingdale rd.
Bloomingdale, IL
You don't need a zip code. Where it says ADDRESS use the intersecting streets listed above.

Cool, thanks man.
Its only a little over a half hour from here, so I'm gonna try and make it if I can. What time will you be there?

Well, I left just after I posted, and I just got back now, about 9:15. No one showed up, so I hung out with the few cars that did show up.
Turns out McDonalds cancelled the cruise night because its a holiday. The 11th should fill to its normal capacity though. About 150 to 200 cars on average.
Later on there is one a bit further north that has about 500 cars on average.
I'm still on for the 11th and if you want parking I'd suggest BEING there at 6:30, no later than 7:00 or you won't find a spot at all. Gaurenteed. If we get there early enough we can all park next to eachother.
The Illinois Camaro Club ALWAYS makes its presence known with about 8-10 cars. Plenty of old vettes show up too.
I'm usually there from 6:30 to 10:00 at the latest, after that I go and cruise somewhere else. The McDonalds on rt 53. and Kirchoff road looks to be my next cruising spot after that.
The cops crack down here badly on some places (barrington rd. and Irving Park rd. especially).

my friend "Dood" posted pics of the day he was at the mcds and we ran into him!! check out this page from his website for photos most of those cars are regulars so if you like what you see come out and see it in person!! as you can tell we need a bigger 3rd gen presence there...more the better!

If the weather is nice, if I don't have to work (starting new job later this week), and if April buys the tranny before then (I need money) I'll go. If not, won't be there.

I checked up on the weather, and looks like its going to be partly cloudy, but otherwise dry and cool. A good night for a get together.

Would be nice to have a thirdgen presence there.
It's tomorrow, so lets pull it together.

I'll wash my car tomorow after I get out of work, or in the morning. If I do that I'll probably spend all day waxing the darn thing.

Stet, I used to work for the Bolingbrook Park district. I taught Gymnastics at the Annerino center.
Just head north on 355
east on Lake Street. Lake St, is the exit after Army Trail rd.
McDonalds will be on your right (north) side, about 1/4 to 1/2 of a mile after you pass Portillo's.
