Flexplate cracked, need some help.

Hi, Russ and I just spend over whole afternoon trying to get the tranny out to change the flexplate. However, the jacks we had were to short and the manuvering was a pita. So, we could not get to certain bolts and really need either much bigger jacks or a lift to really do the job.

I was wondering if any of you guys have bigger jacks, or know anyone with a lift to get this done since I don't wanna drive the car much with all the ticking going on. Plus selling it with this will really lower the price.

Need some help

shouldn't be to hard to do I swapped trannies with a regular floor jack and 3 ton jack stands no problem. Helps to have something on the floor that the tranny can sit on and you can slide it out. I used a tarp but i'm sure you can come up with something.

Go buy some car ramps and some jack stands and do it yourself. That is what I did. If the flex plate is cracked, you may have more problems than you think. Maybe your bell housing is not tight to the block and the flexplate is taking the force and cracking??? Lots of stuff could be happening??? Just something to think on......
