Just curious if anyone knows, or can reccomend a machinist around Denver/Littleton. I would like to start on a 400 block.

Roger, owner/operator/sole worker at Rev Motors really knows his stuff. He sends the blocks out for machine work, but does the assembly (if you want him to) and is a wizard with heads. Don't let his country-boy-accent fool you.

Max at Maximum Performance is another. He used to run a large operation but got tired of not being able to find good help. So, he down-sized and does everything himself now. He only answers the phone certain days of the week so he can get work done the rest of the time. He did the machine work on the 396 back in '97 (I did the assembly), it's still going strong today.

My bud Don (mustang dude), used to work for max as a machinist and head porters years ago but when Don moved from Denver back to Cheyenne, he had to quit. Well me and Don both found a machinist that is late model friendly, and isnt so old school like some machinists. He runs a nice shop, keeps up on current engine building and engine management stuff, he is a GN guy personally but loves EFI on anything. The only problem is that he is in Ft. Collins. His shop is called ADC RACING . The guy that did his website went a little extreme towards the sprint car stuff but that is only one aspect of Chuck's operation. If you walk into his shop right now in his clean room you will see some sort of huge supercharged big block and a centrifugal supercharged LT4 383 that makes over 800 hp he built for an aquintances 95 camaro. When I looked in his dyno cell I saw a big block olds the other day that looked like it was EFI'd running gen 7 accel (he's an EMIC dealer too)

Madcap Racing in Denver does pretty good work. They just did my brother's 355 for his boat and it runs great. They also will give you a warranty and will do assembly for you as well. Also there is Hitek Machine in Longmont, he does great work. A little pricey, but you get the quality to justify the high price.

I just had my heads done by Chevy Shed, they do exellent work and are a full service shop. I've known Bill for a long time and he has always done work for me, and the prices that he charges are not bad at all. CHevy shed is located in commerce city, right on highway 2 just look for the chevy orange building.
