Hey just figured I would let you all know about the Turlock Swap meet. It is the biggest one of the year its saturday and sunday January 29th and 30th. I go every year rain or shine, always a ton of sellers. Most times thier is not an empty selling spot on the whole stanislaus fairgrounds. Usually a ton of stuff...now Third Gen stuff is always limited, but our cars are getting older so I will see stuff from time to time. If you like car shows and looking at car parts, its a fun thing to do. (usually 7 dollars a person to walk in)

Yup parking is free. sometimes they have preferred parking for 10 dollars. They also have overflow lots and I have seen them busing people. Normally I will find a side street and just walk in somewhere because this is the BIGGEST one of the year and it is PACKED

Sounds like fun, but I am really picky about where I park the car. If I'm not doing anything that weekend I might drive out there in the s10 though. I like deals!

Well I went out there. Got there a little past 8 and got home about 3. did not find one single part to buy for myself. haha. Saw a couple third gens. An 86 gta, and two 91 rs. both clean cars. The gta was beat up. they were for sell. The gta was 2400. and the one 91 rs was asking 7000. Parts wise not much for third gens. Did find a TPI NOS nitrous kit new in package still for 225. I did not need it.

So I may have not missed anything by not going. Looks like the bad weather they predicted last year finally made it this year. And my brother who I go with is sick.

Oh it was great swapping weather today. Would have been the day to go! Should have made it out there it's still fun to walk and talk and get a mosnter corn dog haha. freaking 12 inches long

Most the time I usually end up just walking around the swap meets anyway. Never see much I want or can use. Last time I was out there I stopped at the dash mat sales table and asked for one for my Camaro. Their list of model years was way off and they could not find the right one. Thats how it usually is for me!
I hit up the other ones that happen durring the year though. My brother found a set of late model aluminum GMC wheels for his 05 Chevy for $125. A little filing and polishing and I got rid of the GMC from the center caps and he has nicer wheels than his stock steel chrome ones.
And I certainly did not need to know the length of the oscar myer weiner you chomped on!

I would have rode with my brother in his pick up. Gotta be ready for a haul!
And the car in my avitar was my 91 RS that some evil woman destroyed in a parking garage. My sig is what I drive now with just a stock IROC hood.
I still have the hood with the 80-81 Air Induction scoop that I'm going to put on my 89 IROC after I repaint the hood.

Well he was all over this site. As I am too. And he tends to put in his a lot and is very open with what he says and a lot of people have not like it and kind of picked arguements with him. He even said to me when I said something to him that he seemed to be cool and alright. and he said "just give it some time". Haha. So I guess maybe he knew it would come to this? I dont know. He was still alright in my book.
