Ok.. like Undercover89 TBI has said, our forum has been pretty dead lately. So I have been cruising in SoCals board. They always have something goin on. But they are also 3x our size so I was thinking, I know we are all pretty busy and for the most part pretty scattered all over the region, but I'm up for having more GTGs.. even if its a dinner or we all go to a ballgame or something. I was all for goin to help Bully tear his car down and he is 2 hours away from me. But I will be visitin family for xmas in the south. I think we are a relatively close group and we all wanna see each others cars, rain or shine. I have probably the worst work schedule being a truck driver, but if we can put a few small GTGs together during the winter months just to BS, it might do us all some good. So if you are interested or have any ideas for anything, no matter how small, post it. Let's try to hookup for the Super Bowl or we all go go-kart racing or something.

Yeah I agree. Now with christmas around the corner it might be too late to plan something cause a lot of us will travel. But yeah, whether its a Super bowl gig or an MMA fight night. it's all good with me. My car is ready! You wanan jump in it and go down southern cali for one of thier GTG's? haha...

The human population density in So-Cal is ridiculous. They have like 3-4 groups that gather down there it seems.

Anyways, I'm all for something small for the folks that are within 1-2 hour radius of Sac. A lot of folks have projects down for the winter, so I would assume it's more of a just bring what ya got as a member of the community here, even if not your 3rd gen. January probably best for one? My schedule can be erratic, but if I have enough notice I'll try to meet up. I'll still shoot an email out regardless to all on the list and we can post on Facebook as well once you guys narrow down what/when/where.

Yeah, they are heading to Chico. We are going to pull the engine out and apart, I think it has something to do with the rings... so we are going to see if we can hone the cylinders and rering it and put it back together with my new Comp Cam.

Thier is a swap meet in turlock, ca at the end of next month its the biggest one of the year there. They have a decent car show and a lot of vendors. now the thirdgen stuff is lacking, but its just an idea im throwing out. I'll be going anyway. But I have seen third gens entered in the show, and I have seen third gen parts at the show.

We got some pretty decent ideas goin.. Ikea, Turlock Swp, go karting.. let's really narrow something down after the holiday madness has passed and move forward with one of these ideas. More ideas are always welcome too.

Undercover, check on the actual date and times for the swapmeet.. I'm gonna try and come out.

I think early Feb would be a great time to look into the go kart racing idea.. will def get some third gen blood boilin and motivate people to get ready for the spring.

I've been trying to get people together in this neck of the woods several times. Not a lot of interest right here in San Francisco it seems. I attend meets in the South Bay when the weather permits, but I'd like to have a meet somewhere here on the Peninsula just south of SF. There are lots of things to do, places to go, good photo shoot sites, etc. It's hard for me to make it up to Sac, especially when most of the meets are on weeknights.

If you set something up I will try to be there, I have family in Half Moon Bay, so I got a place to sleep, we plan on being in that neck for X-mas, and again for the new year.
anything would have to be on a weekend, and with notice(500 mile round trip times 2 v-8's equals a lot of cash)

Hey Will any idea's you have. Do share. I am more than okay with going to south SF. I am also a weekend meeter so weeknights do not normally work for me. I say set up a date and time and give us a month or so and im sure a lot of us will show up!

Anybody have an opinion on putting high performance heads,cam, intake and carberator on a stock gm goodwrench 350 or should i buy a different sbc.
