Kool April Nights?
Is it "kool"?
Never been, but planning on going Friday-Saturday (4/17-4/18)

I hope it's worth the drive. There's a Grudge Night at Sac Raceway that weekend I'll be missing.

Re: Kool April Nights?
I've always heard good things about "Cool April Nights" GTG's.
They should be racing during this event too, shouldnt be too much of a problem to get entered into a race.
We cant get the Megasquirt dialed in , so were switching to Accel, theres too many unwanted/unneeded adjustments to it for a drag racing application (ON/OFF gas)
Since we wont be able to make it out to the track @ Sac, you wont miss much, haha.

I'm already booked for 1-night, so yee haw Redding!
Yeah, still getting age discrimination with our 3rd gens, heh. I won't be bringing mine up there needless to say.
I'm sure the Accel Gen X DFI stuff will get the job done. There's plenty of help and information in the DFI/ECM forums, plus I'm sure that's more Bennie's thang.

Re: Kool April Nights?
I usually find cool april nights worth the 2 hr drive for me, keep in mind they do charge admission to walk in to the show. The races were pretty decent in years past. I will be driving over for Friday or Saturday night, whichever night they do the racing this year. I don't have anything to race right now, but I always love watching and walking the pits.

Rocklin Automotive is sponsoring a trophy for a car show in April & they wouldnt even let me enter my car, let alone have alot of 3rdgens show up.
Its funny because most of them have TPI set ups in their "hot rods".
Thats BS

Re: Kool April Nights?
Yup - I saw a handful of hotrods at the Pleasanton/Goodguys carshow couple weekends ago with TPI conversions.
I'm thinking we have another 10+ years to go before the 80's will even be considered. Not that I want to enter my car in the mix with some of those gems really.
There used to be a great car show in Roseville every year put on by the Golden State Trans Am Club. Felt more at home being judged against other 'birds/T/As.
For 3rdgens, I took 3rd in 2001 for my V6 Firebird during its "glory" years and 2nd in 2003 for the GTA.
(Pretty stock and ~47K miles!)

Re: Kool April Nights?
I forgot to follow-up on this one.
Kool April Nights was a good time and I'm glad we went.
Weather was great, tons of cars and I got lots of pics.
Much more laid back there as far as late night cruising too.
