Yes it is back luck to change the name on a boat without offering a libation to placate the gods of the sea. There's a whole ceremony on the web if you look. We had a helluva time with our boat when we first got it. It's name was "Lazy Susan" which meant nothing to use. Our first boat was "KnottyBuoyz" which was my son and myself's alter egos. Our current boat was renamed "KnottyBuoyz II" with the proper renaming ceremony and all the troubles disappeared.
I guess I never thought about naming the IROC but Lori (wifey) mentioned it yesterday. She's got a Toyota Echo which we call PJ (Puddle Jumper) and my '99 GMC Jimmy SLT is just "Jimmy". I guess my IROC would be "PDG Z28" which is what the vanity license plate has on it. She suggested "Ricochet" which was an old nickname of mine. Dunno, gotta put some thought into it, not too sure about "Ricochet".
