I've done that a couple times but you get a good shot of the take off and the rest looks crappy. vid looks better from about 1/8 mile or so.

Have you ever been down the track? if not Im sure you rt will be **** you 60 will be **** and that all will = a shitty et. after you've been down the track a couple times and see how you/your car is running/reacting you should be in the low 13's easy. or I can be wrong and you go down the track like john force and run mid 12's. never know

kk...I see. So, What do you guys think THE CAR will run... Good point kairles. I have never been to the track, but I am not saying I have never raced before, but I know how to launch decently. Rt wise, I have a good reaction. I will need a few pointers, but I should be alright by the end of the night.
How many runs do you think ill get in? If only a few, I may go to redding and get more in for Street Legal Drags + it is closer.

Slight change in plan for June 14. Unfortunately Marc and I will not be able to race on Grudge night but we will be there on T-N-T instead. Last grudge fest was too crowded. I personally would like to get more than 3 runs. I am not sure if they will allow to cars run at the same time. All the TNT I've been to were single passes.

I might go to Redding Street Legal Drags then. It is cheaper and closer.

By the way, how bad is the construction screwing up the freeway in Sac? I heard northbound lanes are closed?

Re: June 14 Grudge Fest. @ Sac Raceway
I'll be going there either the 28th or 31st. The 28th is muscle car mania but anyone can run, basicly like another street legal night with trophies for muscle cars. I'd rather go to Redding too, get more runs in, less people, bit smoother operation I feel compared to Sacramento. Buuut I also want to see what the car will do on the supposed quicker track.

This is not going to be your last run for awhile...we just started. I know it's sucks that Marc and I can't make it. Something came up that he must do and I just found out that I have to attend a b-day party as well. Trust me, we would rather be racing but.......it is what it is. So now since we can't make it on saturday, we will be doing test and tune on friday night. You won't beleive what Marc and I have been doing to his car....hahahaha. Shooting for 11's on the bone stock engine...........KAAAABOOOOOMMMMM!!!!!!!!

Looks like they changed dates for Redding... Street Legal race for June 14th and Muscle Car Mania (street legal night also) June 28th. Weather page is calling for it to be 104 in Redding Saturday, no thanks.

Ok bennie and marc, you guys are excused
The weather is going to be 102 Saturday but it will cool down later that night. Perfect racing weather. LOL...
Hey Terrell, there I hope that is true. Plus with Gas prices so high, maybe some daily drivers wont bring there cars. So we will see how much show up. Its going to be fun. Cant wait to see what this bad boy can do with those slicks and my other goodies
Del, your still going right?
Hey travis, steve, Vin, r you guys going still?

My deepest apologies. So to make up for it, "Free Oil & filter changes" to any ThirdGen car that brings in a timeslip for 6-14-08.
We will be out Friday for the Test & Tune. We finally got caught up at the the shop & have been making some serious changes to the Firebird. I think we might be able to get it into the low 12's maybe even the 11's if the stars line up for us. It might just blow up...who knows? I'll keep ya posted.

You guys must be stripping it bare under the hood Marc!
I plan to be there 6-14, but not so sure about racing.
Really wish the weather was better as it seems you get the most runs in the first couple hours before it picks up, but also when it's the hottest.

I might go. Do you think they will let me run with a fuel pressure gauge taped to my windshield?? My car was losing power last time I think it might be a fuel problem. Or I may go with my 89 Probe GT turbo I always wanted to run that car. I'd be happy with a high 14 with Probe.

Might have a good reason not being able to go now. You know that big fire up by Chico and Paradise? yeah... It was getting to the point where I had to think about evacuating yesterday. The shop where I work sounds like it might be in danger today.

Yep I live up on the hill here. Guy I know may have lost his house yesterday and 3 more people I know are in dangers way. 1 was up in Oregon but was headed back last night, hope he can make it in and get whatever out of the house just incase. Bullydawg, you can check out the car up at Redding later this month Doesn't look like I'll be burning up so I should be up there the 28th.

We need to go more TNT. We had a blast earlier. You can basically run back to back. Terrell took some videos earlier. He should post it soon. Finally got Jolly to run some decent time. First pass was 11.90 @ 115mph. in my car. Did more tuning and also ran 11.86 @ 112mph. Still running rich. MOre tunings on the way....STAY TUNED. We got videos and time slips to prove it.

Ay yo Joeeeeeey,
I was planning on checking out some racing but I won't be running the Camaro as I really haven't changed anything other than keeping it clean and adding more rubber inside my quarter panels...
Glad to hear you got Jolly to run good Bennie!!! Right on bro

Swing on by, dont forget the timeslip. I really want to see your car in the 12's. Now that Del isnt running, the pressure is off. just concentrate on doing a good run.
We gotta do a TGO-TNT. theres no wait, no crowd. Its perfect.

If there's a test n tune on a weekend, I might make one. Can't do anything during the week.
Little fire update: the 3 people I knew of being in harms way all have their houses still. One of them did lose a workshop, car, truck and boat though.

Nice to see you all out there briefly last night.
Can't believe the lack of cars and decent weather
Congrats on the new best Joey.
Post up the full time in the other thread and I'll put ya ahead of me (for now!)

You know i'll be singing more at work while working on your car. Hey Joey, i still had the big grin the following day while mowing my backyard in my riding mower. It took 11.90 second to mow around the edge of the lawn. what a coincidence.

Re: June 14 Grudge Fest. @ Sac Raceway
thanks for the support guys! It means alot to know i got friends out there to help me out. NOS is in the picture but after i do some heads, cam, intake, tune. I should be 11's for sure with that going on and if i put NOS OH MY GOSH!!! I will pee my pants before i even drive that monster! LOL
Today i would just yell out to my friends and fam 12.9!!! I cant believe from the first time i races with the Ls1 was a year ago. and it ran 14.2 all night. Remember Terrell, i was like what the crap! then i go to the Nor/So Cal meet in Bakersfield and ran a 13.5 after like 5 tries (this is after i did the tranny cooler) then race again a few months ago with a new professional tune and ran 13.5 all night then i put some slicks on yesterday and skinnies, and cold air intake and ran a 12.9 LOL. this car has come a long way thats for sure! Thats my little LS1 story in a nutshell
