Re: GTG
ok, so I talked to Bennie, & he said only a couple of buddies w/ vettes are coming out. not the "club", and the viper is just 1 car. So this is still a TGO event. Priority parking for 3rd Gen members.
I also talked to IHOP, & they are kicking in some free lunch coupons, so we will be giving those out as door prizes, is longest drive to the show, best looking car etc, etc.

I am in if it is mainly 3rd gens and there is assigned parking for 3rd gen members. It is about a 2 hour drive. haha, probably about 1.5 in the formula though...

Re: GTG
Even better with assigned parking. I have a friend I work with who has a cherry 69 Buick GS fresh outta the body shop, and he wanted to tag along. I don't know if thats alright?

Re: GTG
There wont be any real "assigned" parking, but I can assure you that this is a TGO event, so 3rd Gen cars will be able to park on the main lot & have some rack time too. I just wanted to clarify that this wont be a mixed "Third Gen, Corvette, Viper" event. Its all about TGO! Anyone that wants to tag along with different cars is welcome to come too. I just got off the phone w/ 98 Rock & unless its a charity event they charge big bucks to show up.

Re: GTG
Bump.
Count me in for helping with the KP duty.
When is this event again? Mr. Del... could we get a sticky post on this issue so we can easily locate the details, attendence, directions and so forth? Maybe a whole new thread would be cool.
I want to go.
I can take care of bringing the barbecue and doing the cooking, I can also organize the food if you want. Everyone can just start PM-ing me what you want to bring and I will start to sort it out. I will need to bring my BBQ over the day before if that is cool. I want to drive the GTA, but I need to drop my BBQ off in my truck. And will need to let it cool after. Let me know. I say we just start with burgers and dogs, and we can go from there. Also I need to know how many people will be there to organize food and drinks and stuff (sodas and water exe).

Re: GTG
3rdbird acquired this shop few months ago and what's one of the best way to promote this kind of business??????? CAR SHOW...... Most people that drive Vettes, Vipers, Cobras and other restored cars have daily driver cars that will eventually need some kind of service. And when they do, which shop might come to their mind?.....the shop that had the car show. Even us TGO members, we will need some kind of service that we can't perform in our own garage. I know I will contact Marc(3rdbird) when that time comes. So it goes both ways....he is going to host it and we'll help him promote his business. Mark and I are already planning the next TGO car show and track rental at Sac Raceway. The next one will be even better. See you all there!!!!!!!

Bennie (Or Daniel),
Can you post up the address of the location. I can't find it other than this reference: I am planning to set up a GTG at a shop in Lincoln by Galleria BLVD.
Can I get a 'google-able' address?

Re: April '08 GTG
How many people would be interested in a PROM session. You'd need to bring your own PROM chips. I have the Moates stuff, but would need someone who's familiar with it and a laptop. I'll be bringing a few 3rdgen parts from my garage if anyone is interested.

Re: April '08 GTG
Photographer, awesome.
I like the idea of a 3rd gen "swap meet" at the GTG.
Bringing some of your extras to make a deal on. Can't say that I have much to offer anymore, got rid of most of it.
Don't have the need to burn my own proms anymore, but have some knowledge of the hardware/software, as do a few others I'm sure.

Would someone be able to help me get my IAC and TPS adjustments done? From what I've read they seem to be fairly simple procedures, I just don't have those electronic scanner tools...

3rdBird - Do you have a final flyer available for distribution that has the address and all the awesomeness that will be taking place for this GTG? I saw the original one you posted, but you've added some nice perks since then.
The weekend before, I'll send a copy out as a reminder/invitation to the 50+ members on our Nor-cal Thirdgen email distribution list.
I'm sure it will be a nice size turnout and I'm looking fwd to it.

Hey Del,
Marc is on vacation. I have fliers in my car. I was going to call you last week and meet with you on my way home but my schedule was a little hectic. I will call you Thursday and meet you somewhere to give you the flier and discuss other things.

Sounds good Bennie, just give me a call if you are available.
I was wanting a softcopy flyer to include in the mass email.
I'm sure I can track down a scanner if needed.

Oh and some details for the GTG, I will be bringing burgers and dogs, with all the fixings for 20 or so ppl, I will also be bbq-ing a try-tip, I will bring 2 ice chests with ice, one for meats and such, and one for sodas, And I will bring paper plates, napkins and utensils and stuff. What I need help with sides and drinks. Chips, dip, potato salad exe also some drinks, sodas water such I will bring a little but it will run out fast. If you bring alcohol it can stay with you I don't what to be responsible for checking id's. If you want some meat like steaks or chicken, or you are a vegetarian, and want to-firky or not-dogs I am happy to cook them for ya just bring them. Also I have a couple long folding tables I will bring so we have a place to put it all. Any other suggestions let me know.

scribbles, I just PMed you, but I'll bring some drinks and or chips, etc. Anyone who has a digital camera should bring it as well. I hope to get my 7.5lb. Hitachi starter installed if anyone wants to help. I've done a few starters before, but none with such close tolerances.
