I remember once that a truck arrived with a ton of computers, axels, and bull semen. No joke. The University of Georgia had that stuff shipped in from all over so they coud do genetic research on it.

Most of our sales is are to the Commercial market. Our coolest stuff is Military, like an Infrared scope and pods for the Joint Strike Fighter and Apache Helicopters.

I have a glock 23 with fixed sight that I take pig (wild boar) hunting. Glocks are fun and light.

Where do you go boar hunting around here? I have had all my camo and hunting gear in boxes ever since I left Texas. My poor .30-06 is a paper wieght and my awesome Browning .22 lever action with over and under Bushnell scope is just something to look at since I left.

Is that hunting on management areas or private land (and to tie it all to my Third Gen) that I can drive my Firebird to?

Hmmm, Remington has there new trap 105 cti:
Remington.com - Products - Firearms - Shotguns - Model 105CTi™
This is a pretty sweet setup but at $1200 it might not be feasible. If you were really wanting a top of the line trap gun I would suggest a benelli super sport:
Benelli - Firearms - SuperSport, Sport II
These retail for $1500 and are a sweet setup. I was lucky enough to have the Benelli rep come to the store and loan me one for a day. Boy did I shoot the heck out of that thing!
As for hunting it is all what you want in features, what are you hunting? Is there a particular caliber you like? Are you going to be packing this around alot? We are having our once a year, huge *** everything is on sale, sale on the second week of May. You should probably come by and check it out if it is feasible. We grab all the manufacturer reps and them pair them withs ales reps. So when you have qquestions you ask the factory rep. I think I will be working with the para ordinance rep this year, as I wanted to kick the springfield armory reps butt last time as he was fairly obnoxious. Let me know.

Assuming you wanted fixed sights you are looking at $590. If you want adjustable or night sights wether it be Trijicon or Mepro light Glocks it would be more. Keep in mind the Trijicons are the best and if you ever consider night sights get them from the factory as it will be substantially cheaper to have them on the gun rather than after the fact.

Well you got a ton of choices, you can roll the basic ruger 10/22 for about $200 bucks. However the hot new ticket seems to be the 17 calibers. I perfer the HMR to the Mach2 due to its substantially better ballistics, that and the fact it utterly destroys any small varmint. However keep in mind you probably aren't going to be getting the crazy long shots that a center fire cartridge would. Though the 17s due help this issue alot and a good 17HMR setup properly with a decent scope, such as a Leupold VX-II, can reach out to 200yards when in the proper hands. There are basically two types of varmint hunters, the ones who sit and wait for the target to come along or they call them in. Or the low buck guys, like me, who tramp around till the find something and then whack it. A good bolt 17 is right around $200-300 depending on configuration, keep in mind it costs about $7-10 a box of 50 rounds for these newer calibers. However the performance is awesome on them. If you want an autoloader in these, go for a volquartsen. This is a custom made 10/22 style 17 autoloader. However they take about a year to get after ordering one, and the only thing ruger on them is the magazine. Everything el;se is custom.

Alas I can't get this in our fine state. They make 33 round mags for this gun and it is sick. Purposely ported to reduce muzzle flip and can empty the mags in roughly 6-8 seconds. Heck I just want the trigger group and haul it back into this state and do a little of my own "gunsmithing". I don't care what people say about 9mm being too small a caliber. If can throw 30 rounds at you in under ten seconds, chances are you are gonna feel something.

CA does it again!

I agree with you on the 9mm argument, either way you look at it you're still getting shot which = bad. Plus 9mm is so cheap!

But I do love the 23 also as Dwayne said earlier, I am getting one or both of those real soon.

Small tire- I have plenty of Hig grade trap guns 2 citori's w/presision fit stocks.
I was looking for a BT-99 for my son.

Is there a webpage I can check out? Will the sale still be going on the 13th of May? I can make it then.

The Central coast car cruise is the 7th of May so I can't make it then unless I play hooky during the week and drive my IROC (3rd gen content) to purchase guns.

The standard version of that is running $1320. I have had them in only once and they didn't move very quickly so now we only do them by special request. Our webpage is Hunting, Fishing, Camping, Archery and Guns in Bakersfield, California
The sale is normally the second week of may if I remember right. I will post up the info when it rolls around. I love my job, but it steals money that should be going into my camaro.

Yeah I was thinking one of the cheaper ruger 10/22 jobs would do it for me. I've got about $200 to play around with (plus or minus $50 bucks - I sold my shotgun awhile back and have been saving the money from it), what would you recommend in this price range?

I've heard of the new .17 guns (I do actually read the mags I get from the NRA every now and then). Would you go with a .17 over a .22?

Well for $209 you can pretty much pick up a basic ruger 10/22 just about anywhere. The difference you are gonna see between the 22's and the 17's is the 17 are essentially necked down 22 catridges. A 17 mach 2 is a 22lr sheel with a 17 cal bullet, and the 17 hmr being the 22mag variant. The 17s fly faster and have less drop in them due to high velocity due in part to less bullet mass. A 22 is roughly good to about 120-160 yards. The newer 17s can roll 200-230yards pretty easily with a good optic. If you have the cash they are cool to run, however it will run more per catridge and it seems like no one has managed to perfect the 17 caliber chambering. As of now EVERY single manufacturer who makes a 17 caliber has some issue with there gun. It stem from the fact that they all took there 22 caliber barrels and modded them to run a 17. So basically 17s are more prone to malfunctions in the department of feeding. If you can get passed clearing a jam every now and then and can spare the coin I would say go for it. However I still run my ghetto camo 10/22 like no other. Infact I just got home right now from popping some squirrels and it worked fine for me. *shrug*

P.S. D*mmit I swear I am not trying to take over this thread.
