Windmills
Anybody know if it is possible to drive up to the windmills on the ridge between Stockton and the East bay?
Might be a great place for a photo shoot.

I know exactly where you're talking about and it is a cool place but last time I checked my IROC didn't come with 4 wheel drive.
Also those things are so tall I don't think we'd get pics of the whole windmill.

are you talking about the windmills on vasco road inbetween brentwood and livermore? if so then its possible you just have to cut a lock and go on a fairly good dirt road. its pretty cool when you get up there on top of the hills, i wouldnt recomend it if your driving your firebird but i guess you can give it a try. its worth it

There used to be some places to pull off the Old Patterson Pass Road, you don't get al;l the way to the top, but you do have many places where you're above the WM's. You also ride along under the Altamont pass and see it sticking out over the side the the mountain.
I'm sure there's a few places to get good pics without the risk of those old time ranchers taking a shot at you
