I get one weekend per month... that's why I picked that one. Perhaps we could do another one the following month. I'm really hoping to get some of the local guys together sooner or later!

Are you guys going to do another one over on the coast? I'd love an excuse to come over there. I just need better timing...

That's great, Samdog! I'm looking forward to meeting up with you. Hopefully, we can get Loomdog and TMoNee to show-up also.

I explained in the Morro Bay thread that I'll be working the weekend of the 26th. I work three out of the four weekends per month, so it's kinda tough making these meets.

I am almost positive that most guys in Fresno have seen my car because there is no one that has one like mine. It stands out like a sour thumb and its probably the best looking camaro in Fresno. I am not trying to brag it just most 3rd gens I do see are beet up or just kept up enough to look descent. There are not many people that love these cars like I do, that is why I am so ansxious to meet up with others that love third gens.

Samdog,

I'm squinting hard to see the car in your avatar pic. It reminds me of a clean 3rd gen I've seen a couple of times. In fact, I've seen it twice in the parking garage at Edwards Theater. Is that, by any chance, you?

I know what you mean about ragged out cars in this area. I've seen a couple that looked good until you get up close. Then it's like... why did they even bother with paint?

Anyway, I'm looking forward to meeting up w/ you and your buds.

I am freaking out man!!! Yeah that is me! I always park my car in there because I work in River Park. Do you work in there or are you just stalking me? (joke) This should be the car you see!

LOL!! That's cool... No, I don't work over there. I just park in the garage when I go to the movies. About a month or so ago, I parked nose to nose with your car. When I came out, your car was gone so you had to see mine.

I was never too keen on the SS hood like the one you have... until I saw yours!! I had been looking at the Formula ram air style but I don't think the lines really fit the car. Now I'm thinking harder about that SS hood!

Do you have any other mods or future plans?

Yeah, after seeing your pics I have seen your car! I remeber checking it out once I was off work. It was not that long ago either. I just got your IM to, i will try to give you a call when me and my other freind Brandon go hang out because he has a 86 Iroc. I have been meeting up with a bunch of different guys that have Camaros. I think I can get quite a bit together for a Fresno gathering. It would be cool because we could all cruise blackstone and hold up everybody up. What could they do if there is like 8 or more of us. Out of curiosity, how old are?

Oh yeah the mods, I havent talckled the engine yet because I am trying to get out of debt. Once I take care of that problem I will buy a ZZ383/425 and drop it in there. My car is stock except for what you can visually see. I also have a pretty good stereo system that can make a building shake!

It has gotten more dangerous, there are more crazy people out in the road. I did a 380 on Blackstone because a person cut me off. I dont cruise that much but when I do it is usually infested with Hondas

Honda's that's no good, There use to be a bunch of Camaro's and lowered chevy trucks and jacked up trucks cruising the blvd. Fresno crime rate was just to high and they started giving every one tickets if they cruised. Then started putting camera's every where it was pretty crazy

Well some things havent changed then because there are still a lot of trucks raised and lowered! The trucks usually dont drive stupid though. Every time I have an incident it is usually from a import thinking they are in the movie Fast and The Furious!

I'm interested in meeting up. I'm always on the look out for the nicer rides in town. Unfortunately there are only a few in town that are decent looking. May 16th would probably be a great night. If you need any help planning let me know...

I just singed up, and spoke with vexter today (4/27) during work at the Arco Station off of Bullard and Blackstone in Fresno. And I'm interested in this meet you're all talking about. My CamaroRS is decent, I just got it two months ago and want to show it off. So just let me know anything that comes up.

I saw your Camaro Samdog, and :hail: wow! I'm looking to do something like yours, but with a cowl induction hood instead.

That weekend may be busy for me, but if by chance I can get the time, I'll come over. I am putting my new trans. in this week, so driving will be much more enjoyable.

Glad to see you made it!! This is getting better by the day...

I just PM'd Samdog and IROC350TPI, soliciting their input. If anyone else has ideas or preferences, post them here or PM me. We'll have it cut in stone by the end of the week and posted here so everyone knows what's up.

When we have the gathering it needs to be at a place were everyone is going to stop and look. Hopefully we will get a descent turnout. I know 3 guys that will come if I tell them about it. But the more the better. Once we know who is going for sure it will make it easier to plan something. The Morro Bay meet there was about 8 Camaros a Trans Am and 2 newer F-Bodies. If you want guys with 4th gens to come that is up to you but I personally dislike those cars and it would be funner to ger as many 3rd gens out there.

I agree, it would get more heads turning if there were only third-gen camaros out there. There's a spot right out in front of the Target off of Bullard and Blackstone where a bunch of imports meet up. If we get there before them it'd be a sweet spot for us to turn some heads. And this saturday would be perfect for me.

Hey Everyone,

Samdog, IROC350TPI, and myself have been throwing around some ideas for our gathering. Dillon has definitely offered a plausible idea in gathering in the Target parking lot at Blackstone & Bullard. I think IROC350TPI had mentioned the top of the parking complex at Edwards (if we meet during the daytime) so that there will be plenty of light for checking out all the rides. This would be followed up with a cruise (somewhere)...

We had also talked about meeting again later in the evening at some of the various "race" gatherings. I'm down for all of that and will plan on making a day/night of it.

Anyway, we decided that we should put it all out on the floor for more suggestions. Hopefully, we get a decent turnout and ppl will want to do this again. Maybe next time we can plan a bbq outing somewhere.

So, let's hear your suggestions!

Come on guys...are know that there are more people from the fresno area on this board. Let's here from you guys? It should be a lot of fun. This way instead of just seeing all the awesome Thirdgens in passing like we are used too, we'll be able to see them up close with their owners. I'll be there for sure even if it is just me, Sam and Vexter.

So what's up guys? Are we going to meet up tomorrow at Target or on top of the Edwards complex? Either way I'll try to check both spots for you guys, and hopefully some of you will show. I still think it would be hella cool for us all to cruise down blackstone and sorta' take over.

Dillon,
The plan is for May 16th...not tomorrow. We are giving ourselves some time to plan this thing out and see who all is interested. It would be nice to get 8-12 thirdgens to represent fresno/clovis on that night...so far I know of 4 that will probably end up going.

If you see guys on the road with camaros let them know! You can tell if they are into there car or not so invite ones that are worth while. I know of at least 3 that would be intrested but I dont know if they will actually show. Good chance they will though. Was this going to be a mornig thing or a nite thing. I dont know what you guys had in mind but I need to know so I could request to work either the morning or nite shift. Let me know!!!!!!!!!

If everyone wants to do both morning and nite, let everyone know whether or not you want or are willing to do that. If some can only do a morning or nite let everyone know so we could plan accordingly.

Personally I'm a nite owl and nites are best for me. Plus there are the races going on at nite, so if we did things in the morning that would kind of take that option out of the equation unless everyone wanted to meet back up at like midnight. I just thought it would be easier to meet up around 8,9, 10pm something like that, where ever we decide to meet and go from there. That will give us a good amount of time to stand around and bs for awhile before taking a cruise through town. Just my $.02 though...

Ryan, I might have mentioned this earlier but I have seen your car on the road driving by!!! I knew the blackout kits on your car look familiar. Oh yeah, what races are you talking about?

Friday is my last midnight shift. I'll be getting off work at 8:00am. Basically, I'll have the whole day to do whatever. I figured that, being a Friday, everyone would be available in the evening. I was figuring a little earlier than 8:00pm though... maybe 6:00pm.

The races Ryan is talking about is the usual street race spots. I suppose there are several gatherings, though I only really know of one. The idea was that we'd meet earlier and do our thing, then those who were interested would meet up again later at one of those gathering spots... usually around 11-midnight.

Well I am cool off the races! I did that type of stuff during highschool and got nothing but tickets

Either way I am up for the meet. Vexter did you want to meet up Friday before the gathering or did you just want to wait until the 16th. I ask because I have that day totally off! Let me know.

Going to the races doesn't mean I will be racing!!! I've gone exactly one time and just had fun meeting new ppl and watching the madness.

Sam, on our last midnight (Friday) some of my coworkers and I have a routine we've been practicing for several years now. We go to breakfast together and then decide whether or not we're up for a matinee... usually at Edwards or Signatures. Anyway, if you'd like to come, you're officially invited. Hell, I'll even spring for your breakfast!

We can also meet up sooner. I know we were talking about last Sunday but I have been weighed down with homework. You have any time this Thursday or Friday? How about you, Ryan? Lemme know...
