Re: Williamsport, Pa?
Well now that I was finally turned on to someone posting up a local thread...
One of you might know me if he can put two and two together. The rest I'm sure I will meet eventually. I'm from Beech Creek(about 5 mins from Lock Haven). I own a 3rd and 4th gen camaro. (86 IROC and 95 Z )
I've been listening to fisher and the "honda boy" talk about this race weekend for a few months now. I hope you guys are going to actually run the 24th. Less than two weeks away. I don't want to drive down and nothing happen...
So before this actually happens does anyone want to just meet up and shoot the breeze? I was thinking friday evening if the rain don't scare you away. I normally hang out in a parking lot in Lock Haven but if we are getting a group together I could possibly travel. Say 9ish? Talk some cars and pick on some stangs and ricers.... there is plenty of them around here. What do ya say?

This coming from someone that was itching and itching to go from your previous posts ...
So you have wanted to go for months but yet it wasn't worth your time
I am curious ... what is your best time?

I dont think the ricers meet up in LH anymore... There used to be a hilarious group of cavilears and assorted ricers. But i dont think there is an organized group anymore.

LH works for me Sad part is I use to know most of the "ricers" that hung out in LH. When you don't get anyone to come out you have to talk to someone. Now its mostly a bunch of trucks and idiots that fill them.
If you normally hung out in the parking lot so I should know you. What did you drive or what are you driving now?
Let me know about friday evening. I'm game!! Whether its the Haven or the Port or wherever within reason!!! fisher4550 knows how to get a hold of me outside of the board... or pm me and we can exchange cell numbers and crap.... I can even talk to a few other guys about meeting up. Just need to know asap.

Re: Williamsport, Pa?
I'm out of the loop for the next two weeks, work related, im not going to be able to do anything. Possibly later next month we should all try to at least go for a beer/cruise/wings at least get the dust off the cars.... It'll have to be on a weekend the other 3 have off. Hell, drill even kills one weekend a month for me.
I think life is just getting too busy for everyone involved. Its just getting harder to find time for any hobbies anymore. I have parts laying around for months I havent even had time to install yet. Im in the middle of fixing up a truck, so is my brother. And on top of that I did the most retarded thing ever and bought/started building a rally car.
Ive never done the town thing for the reason there is nothing to be gained and only trouble to be had. The parking lot crew seem to be a never ending mix of *******, flathatters, and wiggers and Im not a get along kind of guy.
It would be nice to get a group of performance minded guys around, but we are few and far between anymore. Goofy kiddy r1cers get involved in anything and eventually cars get wrecked, people get killed, and everyone goes to jail. Its happened before and a couple of us have done jail time due to being retarded with the cars. I am careful whom I associate with anymore.

OK...
1. How can you say about friday if you are now claiming you wont be able to do anything until next month some time???
2. If you say you never hang out in the parking lot in lock haven how can you know who is in there and what goes on?? Assuming stuff doesn't help your sight on things. Only makes you more ignorant in the long run...
3. There are more actual performance guys around than you think. Your just not looking hard enough or in the right spots. I've been hanging out in that parking lot for the better part of 10 years now. I've never gone to jail, wrecked anything, and most certainly no one has died with things I've been involved with. Hell I've never even been arrested/fined from being in there. We were asked to leave because some other kids were being dumb doing burnouts and being obnoxiously loud.
I have never seen a problem with just parking the car, hanging out, talk cars, and rag on each other and go home when you feel like it. You have to be above all the **** talk and what the goes on. Save it for the track. Don't get me wrong I use to run an occasional race when I was younger.

I have been driving mine once in a while on nice days to work...
Too many other projects/hobbies.
'85 is probably selling his Camaro this morning, he's putting the money into other things and probably end up buying a new Mustang GT here in the not too distant future. I think he's done tired of screwing with F bodies.
Hell, I'm getting tired of screwing with F Bodies.
