Re: Williamsport, Pa?

So again, as I previously asked: what does stock mean then? The exact air and oil filter it left the factory with? So if someone has a diffrent set of tires on a LT/LS car they are cheatin in this? Why could they not be modded, this doen not make any sense if the other cars are heavily modded..

If someone beats your car stoplight to stoplight do you follow them and lecture them that is not fair because they have a better intake/tires/airfreshener? Ive heard alot of that in the past from riceboys. (tires arnt broken in, bad gas, computers got a virus, headers aint headin right, its a top end car, stickers arnt big enough, im on my period, new wing on order overnight from ja-pan, ext....

Ive handed out *** whoopins on the street, and has my *** kicked a time or two... Its all in fun, you never know whats under the hood of the car next to you and it keeps you on your toes.

Re: Williamsport, Pa?

heavily modded yeah ok my hole long block is GM and its not bored either like i said LS1's are so much faster out of the box then it shouldnt be a problem betting a couple of 15sec cars. well this isnt a stoplight to stoplight race and its not free either sounds like someone needs those hankies why dont you post up your mods! sounds like the excuses are starting to fly already this is how it was agreed to go down months ago

16's here you come? are you implying your bucket is even going to get into the 16's? Screw the timeboard at the track, we will set up a sundial.

Re: Williamsport, Pa?

Hey, im out.

I'll still show up to see the carnage and help get the broken cars home, im just not up for all the waaburger and french cry's that is going to happen that day. My project has not been put on hold for a "playdate". For you three it will come down to the driver between two of the cars I think.

One of the three I think is going to be a high 14 sec car without a power adder. The other two will be all driver and traction dependant high 13's probably due to tire choice.

Before I hear spouting off that I am backing down, that is not the case, I will be there that day running with a diffrent set of cars that want to have some fun and not deal with arbitary "rules" and yes they are NHRA legal so yes they follow some rules.

And remember boys dependant on where you run, you best have a D/S loop and a helmet in the trunk If some of you do indeed break 13's. You will be told to leave, their house=their rules.

hey rocket, some of the tracks around here have some weird rules, NHRA says faster than 12.00 or slicks require a d/s loop, some strips are more strict.

And the trash talk, I really do not care... its pointless. I mean a little smack talk is ok, but this is getting like teenagers in a vatozone parking lot argueing who is more jdm tyte yo.

Re: Williamsport, Pa?

just having some fun with you guys no need to get worked up about it. i dont mind some mods two the LS slow i just want to have a good clean race set-up with everyone running good and close numbers you know what i mean if we all are running 15's and then joe rocket shows up in his honda 1.2L and runs a 12sec pass then kinda sucks for everyone else. the way i took it was fisher and the sportcoupe85 had first race then me and the LS1 could play 'im willing to make some side bets also' i really dont plan on making more then one pass i shouldn't need to

If i was you i'd be worried about my rear. Did you beef it up at all? When you showed us those wheels i figured you would have to get 355 wide skins for them to fill them up.

Do you guys have someone bringing a truck/tools and a car dolly? Becaue if not i'd bet we could find someone willing to drive one of ours. Might be best to rent a bigger dolly than ours though because it is very hard to get an fbody on it if you are lowered or have ground effects.

I am starting to think it may be a good idea to strip a carrier and axles from one of the spare 10 bolt's laying around to take with us and an extra xmission yoke and zip ties at the least.

If they have decent track conditions and any vht down we will have at least one destroyed 10 bolt if any good 60' are to be had.

if you are geting rid of a 350tpi I may know someone interested. I too am worried about my 10 bolt, i know there is a place near harrisburg that will fab a custom 9in for a decent price, and moser has a couple of drop in rears 12bolt and 9in for our cars but they are pricey. Im thinking of possibly a moser built 12 bolt due to the fact I could retain my abs and traction control.

Re: Williamsport, Pa?

Not much has been going well recently, I've had a 3 day drill, and have been sick as hell... 85SC's car has been one disaster after another... Have you talked to him?... My god, it seems like the more you work on an f body the more it hates you.

I'm thinking his car should be rolling by the end of this weekend if he has this weekend off.

Re: Williamsport, Pa?

on another note... I have to ask -given the choice- would you rather change the plugs in a LS1 fbody, or punch yourself in the nuts for 4 hours?

Re: Williamsport, Pa?

What are you two doing tomorow night? you working? "85 wants to possibly cruise to get some ice cream or somthin tomorow night. Wolfie might pull his out of mothballs too tomorow. '85's threw a little fit today... think he might have a stuck thermostat or somthing. He is going to repair and detail his tomorow at the garage, stop by.

Re: Williamsport, Pa?

Geeze, I miss going to Williamsport. Beautiful town. I used to hit the Burger King cruise nights going home from Carlisle. I used to live in Corning, Mansfield and Wellsboro before I moved to CA. I plan on moving back to NY in 6 years so I'll be going to Williamsport once again

The fall of '06...passing through going and coming from Carlisle. Actually when I moved out here to CA in March of '07 I came down 15 and got on 220 then 80. I wasnt going to go I-86 or 90 because of the blizzard they had in NY. My friend told me they got 15 southbound done up by the Turkey Ranch.
