new member thinking of picking up a formula
Hey guys, new member, wasn't sure where to post.
I'm in Pennsylvania, I'm 16 and I currently drive a 94 Camry. Yes, it's a great starter car, yes I like it, no it's not a Firebird. There's this 1991 Firebird Formula that's been for sale a few streets up from me for awhile now, and I always look at it when I go past.
The only beef I have with it is that it's automatic, but other then that, I like the car. It's by no means perfect, and the guy wanted like 1500 for it last time I checked. I'm thinking of picking one up as a temporary fun car, but we'll see.
Anyways, just checking in. This forum always comes up when I'm reading up on the Firebird, and there seems to be a nice group of people here.

Oh, I didn't know 5-speeds were rare. Thanks for the info.
Umm...in this area I'm not too knowledgeable. I know it's a V8, but I'm not sure which one. Kbb lists three engines for this, V8 5.0L, V8 5.0L TPI, and V8 5.7L TPI. I'm not so sure on the model numbers and such of all those, but I think it's one of the V8 TPI's(tuned port injection??)
Which of those would be most desirable?
Thanks!
