GOOD JUNKYARD IN MY AREA!!!

I have a junkyard about 30 minutes from me called TC Salvage. He has incredible stuff there, and all Third gen related. His prices are awesome, and it's a U-Pull it place, so there's none of the half-assed pulling. I've bought several things including front clips, headlight motors, hatch power motors, amongst other things there, and all have worked. He's about 20 minutes South of York, PA just off Rt 74 in Brouge, PA. If you want detailed directions, or more info, let me know. I can probably look at what he has if you need somethin in particular, and really need it, as he has some rare stuff (I just saw a 91 T/A GTA in there that was COMPLETE!) I'm not gonna be Mr. Messanger though, but if your coming from a really long distance, and need to see if he has it, I'll take a look. I go at least twice a month, if nothing else but to shoot the ****.

Yeah I was in the mood to take a road trip and got curious as to weather he had anything new.I got a few odds and ends.Nothing special. It was kinda dissapointing. The yard was very very muddy.I ended up stopping at mason dixon on rt 1 on my way home. They had two 86 Z28`s,an 87 firebird and a 98 camaro.I got a few things there so the trip wasnt a total waste.

Re: GOOD JUNKYARD IN MY AREA!!!

Hey, how's it going. I've been searching for the Dual Snorkel vents and plastic inlet tubes from an 83 - 85 H.O. Z28 for quite a while now. I'm located in Northern NJ though so anything you could do to let me know if they have these parts would be awesome. I'm willing to take the drive if they have what I'm looking for. Is there a number I can call ? I don't want you to go out of your way. Thanks Bro...

He doesnt have any 82-84 T/A`S or any 83-85 H/O cars.I recently found a set of pmd seats in a junkyard 82 firebird.I took a knife and cut the pmd emblems out of the seats cause thats all I was interested in.I also got the round knight rider style shifter ****.Funny thing is when I went back the next time someone had taken the passengers seat.Drivers seat was still there.

Yeah, when I said older, I should've specified. Oldest he has is probably 88 or 89 T/A and if I recall correctly, it was a TPI car.

Speaking from bad experience I take it?

I agree though. Last time I was there, I felt like I was walking through the most painful Congo jungle I ever met. Felt like I needed a machete to get through all of it. (OK, maybe a bit exaggerated, but my82roc is correct, wear protection.)

Re: GOOD JUNKYARD IN MY AREA!!!

I'm sure this stuff is probably gone, but do they have any 91-92 front GFX for a Camaro or V8 T5's? I'm missing the GFX for my car and the case on my T5 is cracked. What are their weekday hours? My days off are Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Re: GOOD JUNKYARD IN MY AREA!!!

Also, any old Beetles out there? If there are a few I can maybe get parts from for the wife's project car, it'll make it a lot easier to convince her I need to make the 3+ hour trip

Re: GOOD JUNKYARD IN MY AREA!!!

I know there aren't any T5s still in any I've seen. He may have one out of a vehicle in his garage, but I haven't seen it if he does.

As far as GFX for a Camaro, I'm not sure. my82roc could answer that better. I generally look at the Firebirds.

And Beetles are non existent there. Most of his stuff is American.

Re: GOOD JUNKYARD IN MY AREA!!!

Thanks for the answers guys. Thats kinda what I expected to hear, but its nice to have confirmation. All the Camaros and Firebirds in the yards on this side of the state are autos and 89-down, and Beetles are near impossible to find.

Guess I should post up to mention, he's becoming a victim of the economy. He hasn't really gotten anything new in recently, and I'm not sure if he is going to or not. Hopefully he doesn't close though.

Yeah, it's not gonna go anywhere either. That's one of those deals that he'll hold it forever, then it'll rust to nothing, then get sent to scrap. I like the guy (Tom I mean, I couldn't care less about his buddy,) but I know that's what's gonna happen. Hopefully he gets to gettin more stuff in soon.
