We'll be working on a 83Z28 crossfire/Auto swap...putting in a ZZ4/T-5 set-up for a fellow member in the weeks to come(April) stop by to see our progress. I'm sure we can help you with something. Was looking for someone who has some experience with prom burning. I'm just getting into it. Maybe some dyno tuning. I've got a 383 HSR set-up thats gonna go into a 91 Z. Hopefully we can get some of the "boys" together one day/night......DPA ANYONE.... LOL!

My boyfriend and I are both 3rd gen owners on LI, I have an 89 camaro which he gave me and we have put a lot of work into, and he has a 91 RS and a 2000 z28. We belong to LIFBA, our first meeting is this sunday, definately in need of some more 3rd gen owners!

 

hey babycakes, i joined lifba online a while back, i went to the car show at belmont racetrack last weekend and met a few of them. i too will be going to the meeting, only thing is there is almost no thirdgens. all ls1 cars.. i think we need a separate club..

 

I have thought about that but the people are awsome.... we joined a year ago and some of our best friends are in there. We'll both be at the meeting. Some guys have both 3rd and 4th gens and just usually bring their 4th gens. We just have to find more 3rd gens.

 

i agree the were great people i met, but we need a bigger thirdgen thing.

Anybody go to Bellmore train station on friday nights? I live near there and would meet up to park with some other third gens. I was there last friday but don't go every week. If anyone was there mine was the silver 86 parked under the train next to my friends 2004 Commemorative Z06.

Charged350, where's the shop in Farmingdale? I work in Farmingdale too but I don't usually drive the camaro to work, once in awhile though.

 

If im not going away this weekend I plan on going to the train station on friday. Ill have an Orange Formula with 4th gen chrome rims. Where else are people hanging out this summer? Anything on wed or thurs nights? I forget where the spots were last year.

 

I will be going to the Bellmore train station tommorow. What time do people usually start to head down there to get a spot? Let me know and also i live right near the end of DPA when it goes into West Islip so if anyone is going down there let me know. I wont be racing but its always fun to watch.

theres usually tons of people at bellmore. and at least a handfull of thirdgens. i wish i could go, but my car isnt anywear near street worthy right now. i will prob be there with my brotherinlaw in his stang or fourthgen camaro. baldhill on tues is pretty good too, i was there the other day a few real nice thirdgens there also. oh and dont forget the show at ruby tuesdays in deer park on saturday evenings.

Looks like the weather killed it for tonight. I usually get there between 7-8 for next time.

I know people go to Nathans in Oceanside on wednesday nights but I haven't been there in years. Someone was also handing out flyers at Bellmore a few weeks ago about some thing in Oyster Bay on main street I think. I'll have to ask my friend for more info as he has the flyer. A big meet happens every sunday morning at Captree which now may be moving to the OBI lot since they are going to start charging for parking. I haven't made it to that in years either, I'm too lazy to get up at 6am to go. If you get there later then 8 you can forget about getting a spot.

OBI on sunday mornings was happening last year pretty good time, i went to quite a few, i wasnt aware of captree. Also at somepoint the cops come to stop the OBI one if i recall.

i have to say im not a big fan of the DPA scene at all

 

I drove down on DPA tonite, all it is is kids whos parents bought them a decent daily driver then they put on typical intake exhaust rims and a system and they like to pop the hood, i love watching them get pulled over auctually... lol i dont race my car on the street like that but it is fun to watch sometimes. I dont like the crowd/ type of people at all if that is what you were referign to.

 

Well i dont really have an issue with the people ( i know you didnt mean anything offensive) but i just feel mad poor. Its also not helping that i havent driven my camaro in a while and all it does is depress the hell out of me. If a few of yo guys are out there ill deff go on and chill. Do some chat chitting. Always looking for ideas for my car and third gens are hard to find these days.

 

Bellmore should be packed out tonight with this great weather. I'm going to try and get there about 7-7:30 latest and even then I hope I can get a decent spot. If anyone sees my car feel free to say what's up.

just checking in... I'm in Suffolk. Just ordered Brodix IK 200 heads and ZZ4 cam from Summit yesterday. Should have the car on the road within a week or two. I also post on LIFBA from time to time.

well its not a shop persay its a garage where we build cars, jus finished a 70 ss convertible chevelle ss with a 700 horse big block, i had my car up at tri county tuesday nite which was last nite, a decent ammount of third gens, if any of you were there, i was the blue shaved iroc with the ram air 2 hood and the huge hole in the bumper lol....but yeah, im down to hit up some car shows or we can jus all meet up and do some cruisin.

 

whats up everyone, I just wanted to mention that i stopped by the deer park car show in the applebees parking lot last night, and was astonished at the amount of cars there. I wasnt expecting too much based on some of the threads i read, but there were alot of old school muscle cars there and nice ones at that. There werent a lot of kids there either, it seemed more like an adult/older crowd with show quality cars. I just wanted to bring it up to everyone, and suggest checking it out if you get a chance.

 

I really wish I had some better hours at work.... Working all day long makes in crappy for any chance in meeting up with anyone!!

Too bad theres never anything going on mondays and tuesdays...

I'm usually over at Oyster Bay on Tues, Oakdale on Thurs, occasionally Bellmore on Fri's, and usually Kohls on Saturdays. I've also been down to OBI fairly regularly on Sun's... if I'm not in the TA, I'm usually in a Light Pewter Metallic 2002 Z28 with chrome ZR1's...
