Eastern Pa F-body Clubs?
Are there any F-Body clubs in the Philadelphia or Allentown area? I'm located in Hatfield which is maybe 30 mins. outside of the city but right now I'm in college in Williamsport. My dad is part of CCDV(Corvette Club of Delaware Valley) and they have meetings once a month and do misc. cruises and stuff. I'd love to join a club and get involved with a f-body club. Do any exist?

here we go again..... There are none yet, many have had the idea but none have gone through with it.. I even offered to use my shop as a meeting place and still it never seems to materialize. Maybe this time around something will happen? My offer still stands, the shop is in Hulmeville, 5 minuted north of Philly. I have plenty of parking and loud cars are not an isue..

As Josh said there is nothing in Eastern PA, however my club isn't too far away (New Jersey F-Body Owners Association) and we have some members from Hatfield and the surrounding area.

Like I have said before, I am interested in being part of a club. I will offer my shop as a meeting place and do what I can but I just dont have the time to run it. So we need someone with the time and willingness to start and run a club like this.. No fees, all fbodys (or even all cars) welcome, monthly meets, and we could even have a car show (yes my lot is big enough) or have it at a restaruant, just a group of enthusiasts getting together to BS about cars..

The easiest way to get started is to establish a formal forum by which communication can go beyond "Yeah I'm interested." The NJFBOA started this way (with an infamous flying credit card to pay for the space / forums needed) and has become the best means by which people can actually discuss how best to launch a new club.
So whomever has the credit card and a little technical savvy, should step up and get some server space where you can start talking to each other outside of TGO.
There's my $.02 on the subject, however I live in NJ so probably wont be part of any PA club. "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make em drink."
Good luck guys!

The Jersey guys will likely keep an eye on things too because the NJFBOA admin are trying to establish race seasons for f-bodies with the participation of other clubs and sponsors. If you all can get organized, you'll have some great friendly competition across the river. PLus those people who can make the trips back and forth, can also participate in show-n-go's, bolstering he numbers for each club. There are all kinds of positives for doing this beyond "simply" enjoying the cars.
Formula355 and some others from eastern PA are already on our boards, so communication back and forth will be easy.
Good luck guys!

The NJFBOA site has really grown over the past few years even wiping out the older NJFbody.com site run by that girl(I forgot her name).I have been to a couple of their meets including the 1st one at furkin tavern.Lots of fbodys and a good time.

You don't want to go to Josh's shop, it's a real shithole.
I'll keep an eye on this thread, even though I don't own a fbody anymore I'm 10 minutes from his shop.

i really think we should plan something at josh's shop. it could be cool, maybe something in the spring...have a bbq or something. make it something annual...
i don't mean to sound imposing, but i think it would be a nice little get together with people who share the same common interests

i've had a pretty decent crew together in the allentown area for years, and even did 4 years of picnics in the lehigh valley. most of us are still floating around on techcessive.com, although we haven't really had a car-related gathering in a long time.

Any word on a server / forums for an eastern PA crew? With the winter months ahead most folks will be working on their cars for next season, so this is the best time to have informal meets somewhere to dicuss what you want out of a club, where the "Eastern PA F-body Owners Club" boundaries are (NJ border to... Harrisburg?, and from NY to MD?) then come up with a plan for a formal first meet of club members.
Best to start out small with just a few people to get organized so that you dont have hundreds chipping in their ideas, slowing the organization process down.
East Coast F-body Nationals is next August! Get cracking!

If people are serious about this, I have server space to use. I can also setup a phpBulletinBoard. I'm more of a programmer than a graphics guy, so if anyone is good with graphics, step up.
We to have to settle on a name and buy a domain. I can take care of that, but I need a domain name.
Any ideas?
BTW Josh, we talked same time last year about doing some susp. work to my car, but I got in an accident and spent the money fixing it. Well, I have the shocks in my garage, and springs and struts due to ship 11/15. I'll call you to set something up.

Is 'Eastern PA F-Body Owners Club' the name? Or maybe just 'Eastern PA F-Body Club'?
EPFOC or EPFC?
Or other ideas?
I like the way this is coming.

I'll get to work on something this week if I get a chance.
How about:
Pennsylvania F-body Association (PAFBA) (EDIT: This looks to exist already but their site is down)
Pennsylvania F-body Club (PAFBC)
I know how clubs go.. you start with Eastern PA and you work into PA, NJ, DE, or PA, NJ, MD, etc., lol.. So you may even look into something like:
Tri-State F-body Association (TSFBA)
Tri-State F-body Club (TSFBC)
Do you want a club or association?
Try a Google search, I found a lot of clubs in the area:
Eastern Fbody Association
Among others.. just idea's and info lol. FWIW: Anyone want to buy my Dakota ? I am trying to get a 3rd Gen Trans-Am lol

I too like the sound of EPFBA.....
Glad to see that this is starting to come together. Let me know when you get on your feet a little bit, as our NJ club is always looking for more people to hang out with. We already collaborate with the First State guys from DE a few times a year...

There is a local camaro club already. The Lehigh Valley Camaro Club. With that said it is mostly 1st and 4th gen biased. I was a member of it around 8-9 years ago and my parents even longer(they are still members) with that said it is far from the group it used to be as far as activities and just fun in general. Also no chance in hell of it ever becoming an f body club. That idea was shot down years ago. A true f body club would defintly have potential in eastern pa

You still have the other foot to work the pedals .
FirebirdChick, I like the design a lot . The font needs to be slightly larger to make it a little more legible.
-Are we going with EPFB Club or Association? I like Association.
Does anybody have experience setting up forums? I've done it twice, but I'm no expert. I'm not looking to shift the responsibility, just looking for some extra help.
