if ya spot me and i walk past your car, just yell at me or something. I'll probably be wearing either my New England Dragway sweatshirt or just a black sweatshirt, and of course, my red and black 'Chevy Racing' hat lol

It took at lot of sorting on the suspension/conv/etc to get it to be as consistant as it was. 60' times would generally only vary .02 all day. Car ran 11.20's in good air, bad air and worst air; never really seemed to care what driver did lol. When I started running this combo three seasons ago it was puuting 12.6's up on the board. Got it to 11.7's by end of that first year and the last year I fought tire spin all season. This past winter I put a lot of effort and few trips to Atco to try some stuff in order to find something that would fix the spinning trouble. This year saw it finally turn the corner towards actually working right for a change.
Look for it next season with whole new motor combo as I'm finally taking the permanent plunge into Stock Eliminator and leaving brackets, though I'll still run Eppings points days from time to time. Hopefully I'll get the 305 to run as good as that 400 did, first to events with new combo saw it run .745 under my index which isn't bad but my goal is a second or more under.
Cost wise I don't even want to look, LOL. But you'd be surprised how mild the 400 really was, no really trick stuff; heads that were done 15+ years ago, old school solid cam, heck I still run a points distributor to trigger the MSD box.
As the saying goes:
Stockers are way COOL!
3rdgen, surprised you never saw it at the shop I work at in Duxbury. That's where I do much of the big stuff like converter swaps, tranny swaps, etc.

I work at the Jeep store there. Next time my car goes there it'll be to pull the motor and trans out for winters freshen up. Then it goes back to bed for the winter on the trailer at home.

come pick me up too....lol....i'm willing to get there almost any way possible....if ya wanna tie me to the top of the car for the drive i'm game......just found out my dad has to go to NYC for a few days for business and my mom is a) less than enthusiastic about spending a day watching drag racing b) sorta 'has' to stay home and watch after my little brother and my grandma.....
this sucks *****!
had this date on the calander in the kitchen for 2 MONTHS! my mom volunteered to carpool a few of my brothers friends to a freakin baseball game the other weekend when it was the corvette/viper shootout and me and a few friends were gonna go, and my dad couldnt take me cause he was just getting back from NYC and was taking my little bro. to a celtics game in Manchester at 5 or whatever....
June 20th will be better than my birthday.....it will...be...the...best...day..of...my...life.
I'LL BE ABLE TO DRIVE MYSELF ANYWHERE I WANT TO...ALONE!
AGH! this pisses me off so much.....i swear to christ, if i have to, i'll walk.
Should get there for at least a few minutes if i start walking from the Lowell area saturday evening......
