Yeah the Strike and Spare on 22 is nice. Also in Trenton there is a bar called Slocums that has bowling. I think certain night's it's only like $1 or$2 per game.

There is an alley near my house called thunder bowl. I think it is open till 2am. It is a couple minutes away from the stop n shop on route 37 where the meet in Sept was. Oh yeah and the parking lot is huge.

Theres one in Hazlet. I know it used to be open all hours 2 days a week. You can play all night for like $20. It is located on highway 36 in the Airport Plaza shopping center. Exit 117 off the parkway. 30 seconds away from the parkway exit.

Big Al, and the rest of the guys who were looking forward to seeing my pathetic little 305 ( i know i may be tooting my own horns here, but i know Nikhil and Chuck wanted to see it too)
The Big Bad Supercharged 305 IROC :hail: should be ready in 2 weeks....I spoke to Chris from ECS yesterday at E-Town...he says he's gonna get the car taken care of this week...but realistically i say it'll be done in about 2 weeks.... cuz parts need to be ordered from 9bolt.com
So, if everything goes right....It'll make it's Thirdgen.Org appearance, LIVE and in PERSON, at the gathering.
i SOOOOOOOO can't wait to drive him again (yes it's a him.........I shall call him......Mini me.....NOT....his name is THE ROC.....i know..how original right? but i'm downright corny, so bite me)

i must say....I like the thirdgen boards much more than LS1.com board....there's no politics (read tuner shops war) involved...we're all here to have ourselves some good times....with people who likes the same kind of cars......and that's what it's all about..... not whose shop can build a faster car etc etc.
this is probably part of the reason why i'm gonna get rid of my LS1....
:hail: Thirdgen Rules...that's all i gotta say

the biggest reason for that is... there is no shops that do TPI... hehehehe its all basic engine building... no hi tech super engines... but i would love to have one... ahh!

I'd love to see that supercharged 305. I almost did that with mine, but eventually I decided to go with a N/A 383 instead.
It would be very cool to compare the performance to see if I would have been happier with the SC

for now the 305 suit my needs.....which is just having fun. It is still running with stock programming. but i broke some teeth off the ring gear in the rear end. so it's at eastcoast supercharging right now getting repaired, and they're gonna put on a new supercharger belt, and a race pipe in place of the catalytic converter, then hopefully they'll try and dyno tune it (conservatively 410 hp and 450 ft lb at the wheels is expected according to the folks at ECS).
if you haven't seen the post where i got it dynoed at Crazy Horse in the summer it made 367 hp and 406 ft lb but that was going to 5500 rpm (with a catalytic converter that we found out is clogged), according to the folks that installed the supercharger (LaRocca's) the peak hp # will be achieve at like 6200-6500 rpm. but i don't think i'm going to push her that high.
well I hope the T5 can handle the duty for another 6 months, because I have been talking with Eastcoast Supercharging about a new set up... 350 w/ DFI, T56, and strange 12 bolt and possibly upping the boost to 18 psi (i'm at 13 psi now)
next season should be interesting.

That's sweet. I'm definately going to add boost to my next car. I'm planning on buying a 69 Camaro in about a year and starting a build up of that. I'm not sure yet what I'm going to do engine wise......I want to shoot for something wild like 800-900 horsepower. Originally I was thinking about doing a 454-502 bigblock with a roots blower and a good set of heads and cam. Then I was thinking about using one of those new Paxton blowers that is centrifugal, but feeds up to the carb.....only problem is right now I think they only make them for small blocks. So my next idea was a very large smallbock (406?) with one of the new Holley or Edelbrock fuel injection systems and the Paxton blower going into that. What do you guys think would be the best economically and easiest to reach my goal with?

if your goal is 800-900 hp (are we talking flywheel hp or rearwheel hp?) but regardless....I think you can get there with a smallblock without too much problem.
I say even with your 383.....or you can go with a 406 or 421..... with a ramjet type setup or one of them Accel pizza box plenum (DFI ofcourse) good set of heads/cam and 18-24 psi of boost from a D1SC procharger or may be even a F1 procharger. of course i'm just talking outta my butt as usual cuz i know very little about engine building
There's one of those at Eastcoast Supercharging....421 with a D1SC Procharger.....the thing is sweet.

I would say like 900 flywheel horsepower.....I think that would be sufficient for a car I plan to drive to work atleast once a week when it's done.
The only problem I see with going injected is cost. Although I will be graduated and have a job, I won't be making tons of money early on.

On route 1 north near edison there's a bowling alley called the brunswick zone (used to be carolier lanes), and i think they have some kind of late night bowling.
it's actually right around where the new cadillac dealership is. unfortunately, it's right after a big construction site (they're building some kind of overpass where rt 130 meets 1), and there's been a lot of traffic. there might not be anymore, i don't know, i've been up at school.
anyway, the 14th i'll be in the middle of finals, my last exam is the 20th (ouch) but i should be home by that afternoon, so the 21st might be ok for me. personally, i've never been to a thirdgen meet yet, and if i'm gonna go to mark's Huge meet, i'll probably want to meet some of you guys first.
so, if it's on the 21st, count me in, for now...

yeah, i get off the 18th, plus there is a bowling alley in Manville that is open really late, and it is maybe 10 mins from Dukes' Island Park (also my suggestion). So if you want me to check it out, i'll be home next weekend and i'll talk to them. PLEASE move it back? Just a week?

I agree about the Manville lanes not being the best place to leave our cars parked outside at night. I would rather drive the extra 20 minutes to Strike and Spare....just have to plan ahead for a lane so we don't wait 3 hrs for one.
I checked out Slocums in Trenton....it's not bad, but I don't know if we would have adequate parking space. Only option I could see if we want to do it there is meet at the college and then car pool over or walk to the lane....it's only like 4 blocks away.

i agree, strike and spare on 22 would be far better, plus the "Midnight Club" might be meeting at Perkins that night and we could stop in. "This guy (Curt) knows what I'm talking about!"

damn, so its definitely going to be the 14th? 21st would be good for me too since the 14th will be the weekend before finals, not leaving my room for a good 72 hours that weekend. if at all possible i vote for the 21st but you gotta do what you gotta do. Surya i'll just have to see the IROC over christmas break or something. post more details when you get a chance
