To all Long Island Guys....

Ever since the cops have been stopping the bellmore car show because of those two dumb*** old ladies...

Where does everyone go now? there were way tooo many people for all those cars to just be sitting home now, anyone got an idea as to where everyone is at now?

Two old ladies complained about the noise, or so i heard, so now the cops have that place on lock down....

Nothing enters that parking lot, at every entrance there was a cop blocking the way in this friday, and tons of them just driving around...

Do you know anything about Deer Park Ave? I never been there...

I been to DPA all this summer, and as every week progresses, less and less cars show up. The police are getting less tolerant and pulling everyone over up there.

Preety soon, it seems all we will have left is the tracks to go to.

DPA isn't that bad. If you're just talking in a lot, usualy cops leavve ya lone. When driving, best thing to do is blend in. Don't race, burn out, blast the stereo, speed, fail to signal, etc. I've been up the quite a bit this summer, aven't been stopped once. The cops seem to target the ricers more since they drive like buttholes.

Oh, and I see quite a bit of 4th gens outside the italian ice place. I think they might be from www.lifba.com.

Yah, I havent been stopped either. But the enormous cop presence is keeping alot of drivers away. It used to be at midnight, the place was at its best, now at midnight, cars are starting to filter out, etc.

Its nothing like it was last summer or early this spring.

Ive had my share of just 'standing around in lots', I like to cruise as well.

Hey all, New to the scene as I just picked up an 89 GTA that needs a lot of lovin' to bring it back to its former self.

Word is Friday nights (in August) at Sunrise Mall. $2 to show (to pay to keep the lights on), free to browse. I went last summer, pretty good (some imports though). Usually very diverse. No hassles from cops as it is on mall grounds (back by Sizzler).

I have not been there this summer yet (maybe this week). The show has been listed in Newsday and Special Interest as "Goodfellas Car Show" Friday nights in August at the Sunrise Mall. If I remember correctly, the show didn't start until later at night, like after 8pm. Bellmore started much earlier. I guess they have to wait for most of the mall traffic to clear out.

Last year, they would cone off the lot and gather in the back by Sizzler, White Castle, and the American Waffle House (damn, my ateries are hardening just typing those names). Check Special Interest this week to make sure (it's out on Thursday's).

I think there may be people on DPA every night, but I'm only there weekends because of work.

Southern State exit 39N.

I was at bellmore like a month ago, I didn't know there was a problem. Its a good thing I haven't gone out there since i'm way out east. As for DPA I've been there a few times this summer the last time being like 2 weeks ago, its not that bad in fact its better than it was in june. It's a little dissapointing going there alot of crappy ricers a few muscle cars nothing great I wish more people would race though, but it's a cool thing to do on a weekend.
