This is copied from another local forum that I'm on for any of you Iowa guys that would be interested in a day of racing at CFR:

The DS/IAF Shootout last year had a lot of guys getting together earlier this year for a good day of racing. Going off the success of the event, there's plans to make this an annual event for everybody here in Iowa on the forums. Good opportunity to hang with some friends you haven't seen in a while, race your cars, and there's even talk of having an after party following the event that night at the track.

In order to do this right, the best way is to rent out the track specifically for this event. There's already a hefty discussion and people trying to get this thing kicked off over on IAF.

Let's try to keep this thread as clean as possible keeping it to if you have an interest in competing and any suggestions.

For those that want to compete, please follow the format:
Name:
Car:
Class:
approximate expected ET (ex. 11.XX):

The suggested classes are as follows:
Fastest import
closest to 13.00
closest to 12.00
closest to 11.00
closest to 10.00
10.5 outlaw
Motorcycles
Front Wheel drive
KOTS (street car shootout, possibly invite only based on forum vote?)
Fastest stick car
Fastest overall

There will more than likely need to be a registration fee that is going to be based off of the amount of people we get to sign up and show interest in attending. That fee and the date for the event will obviously not be set in stone at this time, but will probably be no less than $50
