U-Pull-A-Part in Milan, IL
Anyone use this yard before? I'm headed there tomorrow to look for some 9 bolt parts to get my car mobile again. Yeah, I know long shot. ![Frown](https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Anyways I'll try to take mental notes so I can post what might be useful to anyone else if I see any 82-02 cars.

No 3rd gens at all. I did find 3 4th gens but they were V6s, so no chances for the 3 rivers driveshaft. Most had the dash and consoles robbed. One had the console but it was an automatic and missing the console lid. Looked like the calipers were still there on acouple of them if anyone wanted to do a LS1 brake swap. One in the back row still had the rims on it also, but the rears were drums. I think I read on the list calipers are $26 a piece.
All in all $4 to get in (dad came with me to help carry stuff) no 3rd gens parts, but I did find a pristine glass headlight for my '99 Bonneville to replace the cracked one for $26. Even managed to get some of the wiring still attached, quick clamps, bolts, and mounting bracket. Girl at front desk didn't care at all. Looks like they got excellent prices.
Yard is actually sectioned too so all GM cars are together and Trucks are together. That might make finding a 9" 31-spline 3rd member easy later on if I decide to buy an aftermarket housing with axles. Cars are up on wheel stands. Just be careful if you get under any. I saw 4-6 had shifted and fell at some point. Needless to say if you're under a 3000+ lb car and it falls it's not going to end well.

What are you looking for? There are some 3rd gens at the Orlando U Pick. I'm heading there Monday or Tuesday next week. If it's not too complex to pull, I'll pull them and send them to you. Just reimburse me what I paid out of pocket for the parts and actual shipping.

Looking for 9 bolt spider cross shafts and 4 spider gears. So yeah it would take a little time to pull them.
Brake retainers have to come off, 4 axle retainers bolts per side, pull each axle, remove the cover, undo each bearing cap, take the driveshaft off the rear yoke, put a shirt under ring gear and spin the carrier to pull the shirt between the pinion and ring to pull the carrier out, then load the carrier on the axle and remove the carrier housing bolts to spilt it to get to the gears and shafts.
I had another member offer me $70 shipped for a set, but I don't really feel like putting that much money into this rear. The housing has been machined before and the cones are bottomed out so the posi barely works. Not to mention I've already made 290+ RWHP with a horrible 18:1 A/F Ratio on the dyno [blew intake gasket and found a carb throttleshaft leak on the Speed Demon on that same run].

You can have the rear i just took out of my car if you want it. It is just taking up space. I think it is a ten bolt though but I am not sure. I am about 15 miles from that yard right now at the mother in laws house

That would be great! Is it located in Peoria? I'll probably be swinging through there in the next few weeks on the way to El Paso.
