Re: Calling all WISCONSINITES
So is there a decent racing forum for the WI/MN area? Not looking for something vehicle specific, actually looking for something completely opposite of that. Been working on the pipeline for the last year or so, THINKING about moving out this way (MN that is, WI sux :P)

I have a set of 4 real decent stock 82-84 Z28 wheels with almost brand new tires on them, and I live pretty close....I'll sell all 4 mounted, balanced and include center caps AND lug nuts for a reasonable price...unless you're bargain hunting, then I'm not the guy...

Cool pics from the meet in Rhinelander.
Was just at Sturtevant Auto today, they have a few thirdgens and have a pretty complete/fresh 87' Trans Am , 305TPI/Auto car. Can't miss the paint job, yellow with black stripes. The engine/TPI is mostly complete. I grabbed a couple minor items. Digital dash, hardtop. Has a funky spoiler that I'm not sure is an option or what, fits ok but looks like off a 2nd gen T/A. Just a heads up for those looking for parts. I know having TPI myself it's not often one makes it in the yards.

Your car looks like a great starting point. The "no rust" part of it puts you way ahead of the game. Since you bought it with no engine you can do what ever you want with it. Maybe by spring you will have it on the road and hitting local car shows. Come on up to the Green Bay area and maybe we will run into each other. This season of crusing is coming to an end, unfortunatly. Another month and most of our 3rd gens will have to be in storage.

Thanks! unfortunetly I have found a tiny bit of rust in the floors boards, but nothing a little cutting, welding, and flap wheeling cant fix. It did come with a motor, but it came with what Id put in it anyhow, so thats the advantage I have. Also my plan is to have it out to some car shows next year, and definetly out to green bay!

Hi Guys -
Been on ThirdGen for about 1 1/2 years, but never saw this thread until today. Great to see all these great cars are here in the Badger State. I am the original owner of an '88 Trans Am with 305 TPI 5-speed, WS6 performance package, and T-tops.
I'm in the Madison area, but I really haven't seen too many third gens out the pavement for awhile. Good to know there are still some around the rest of the state.
Here's a photo I took last year. (added the graphics in Photoshop)

Thanks! Yes I took the pic myself. Photography is another hobby of mine and I've learned how to do some cool things in Photoshop. I took this at a park, but I removed the background and blended in the sky and adjusted the color.

-let me know if you run across a great interior - preferably sandstone color. Light gray will do also. I'd be interested in the whole interior if it's in excellent condition....the interior I have is decent for what it is...considering it's almost 30 years old, but it looks kinda run down.
As a last resort, I'd even change to red...but I'd need literally every piece to change color like that.
I have a bunch of good stuff I'd trade also...louvers, carbs, etc..PM me if you come across anything like that.

Live between Milwaukee and Madison. Have a '91 TA convert with about 19,000 miles. Hasn't been on the road lately because of health issues (both mine and the car). Better now (I got a kidney and the TA got fuel pump and injectors). We'll keep watching this thread for activities next spring/summer. Have good Holidays all.

It is officially spring in Wisconsin! I took the Camaro out of hibernation yesterday. Connected the battery, pumped the old Q-jet a couple of times, spun it over for a few seconds and it roared to life.
It felt pretty good to be shifting gears again.

Yes, it is official, but here in the Madison area is still feels like winter.
I too went and started up my '88 Trans Am on Saturday for the first time since mid-November. I keep a trickle charger on it and it started up like I had only parked it there the day before. Great to hear it come to life.

Spring is officially here in Wisconsin. Fired up both cars today and cleaned out the garage (sort of). Managed to find a reason to run both cars into town. First car show of the season tomorrow, NWTC car show, I'll be there passing out fliers for our car show in Aug. (Prince of Peace church picnic & car show aug. 11). Summer will be here before we know it.
