possible trade 4 cylinder Firebird for 4th gen

I have an 88 Firebird that I built using all the parts from an 82 Firebird. the 82firebird was a hard top which I am not a fan of.the 88 Firebird stripped out shell I had has t-tops, so one day I just decided what the hay and transferred everything from my 82 firedbird over to the 88 Firebird shell. the car has been done for quite a while now (since May) and I have had no problems at all (except one little prob that was def not due to the chassis swap, but all is fixed now)this has been my daily driver. everything works great on this car. it is a 151 c.i. 2.5 ltr motor mated with a 4 spd manual transmission. this setup which was all orginal in the 82 was a 1 year only setup, so this is a very rare setup. the car is white (except the blue hood) with almost all black int. the rear hatch has been converted to a manual lock and not the power pull down lock. car has a wonder bar & WS6 front and rear sway bars (which are all not yet mounted). the body is very solid, with Trans Am fenders,84 T/A grills, and rear spoiler.I do like this car alot, BUT if the right V8 4th gen came along for a straight up trade than I could be persuaded to give up this car. I am not selling this car for any cash, trade only for a V8 4th gen, that would be the only thing I might trade or give this car up for. I really don't know exactly what milage I get, but I know I hardly ever use any gas. if you DO NOT have a V8 4th gen to trade then please do not make me any kind of offer, unless its a cash offer I just couldn't refuse 4th gens have come down alot in price and 4 cylinder cars are def going up, so this ad may seem crazy but the mrkt is what it is.

The Market

The market may be going the way of the 4 banger but I'll bet you real money that you won't find anyone to trade for your (rare) 4cyl transplant not a v8 at least unless you trade it in at a dealership. None the less I wish you luck and your going to need it.

really I don't expect any takers. I just know one guy that just bought a 4th gen Formula for $3,000 and it looks pretty good, not to beat up at all. 4th gens have just come down alot in value.

not to rain on your parade but did you see what I wrote just above your post ?? "I don't really expect any takers".thing is stranger things have been sold for ALOT more money than what they should have been in the past.for instance "tickle Me Elmo" dolls that you can buy now for .50 cents at a garage sale now that sold for $5,000+ a few years ago, or how about a $200,00 PS2 selling for several thousands as well.the fact is I get great gas milage and the car is extremely cheap and easy to work on and maintain, which is why it would take alot for me to give it up, like a V8 4th gen.I am not really aggressivly trying to make this trade happen, this is just a feeler thread I guess.

HORRAY FOR THE IRON DUKE I had one that I sold this summer for $2500, I then turned around and purchased an 85 Iroc that was near mint for $850. You keep on and it will sell, good luck!

I really don't have much for pics, but this pic has 3 of my 4 F-bodies in it. the 4 cylinder one is the white one with the blue hood (first car on the left). the hood is the only thing that is blue.I did not paint it b/c I want to swap it out for a Trans Am buldge hood so I figured why bother. hopefully the pic turns out but I have not had very good luck trying to post pics on TGO.
