im not sure what kind of reviews im going to get but hey im trying to sell a car. i have 89 conquest tsi with 48k on the odometer. i bought it as a project car and put way to much time and money into it. if you arent familiar with the car it was a mitsubishi/ chrysler coop back in the 80's. it was supposed to compete with the supra's and rx-7 markets. it has a 2.6l i-4 turbo motor. stock rating are 180 hp w/ 230 lbs. this car is hitting over 200 hp now.
i have put more new parts into the motor than i can list. i have a brand new kyb's and 1 inch drop springs still in the box. i am asking $3500 for everything i have. all spare parts i have go too.
a friend of mine has one as well. we just got it to handle 22 lbs (on stock internals) of boost this winter and are waiting for spring to come so we can see what the 1320 will tell us. all this car needs is a manual trans and your set. i even know a guy that has all that parts you would need for the conversion that will sell them for cheap.

They actually were supposed to compete with Camaros/Firebirds and Mustangs. Predecessor to the Talon/Eclipse/Laser.

 

it is gold. the problem with the tranny is that it is a auto. the auto were not built to handle the power once you stated modding it. i do have acouple pics. it has leather interior. the back seats are perfect but the driver has wear and tear. more wear than tear though. the history of this car was that the original owner bought it as a collector off the lot. but hit financial problems and sold it to the guy i bought it from. well it sat for 10 years before then. well the guy let his wife drive it and she cracked the front airdam. i got hold of it and was going to make it a manual and bring it to life. as far as mods go it has

open air box w/ k&n filter
nology powercore booster
nology wires and beru plugs
ported exhaust manifold and destepped
destepped turbo housing (these two increase turbo spool up by 200 to 300 rpm)
bored precat
a pillar pod w/ boost and a/f gauges
i have the suspension mentioned before not installed
thats what right off the top of my head

parts that i replaced is quiet long. i will get kick offline before i could finish the email.

if you go onto ebay you can find all the advertisements where chrysler was putting the car up against the supra and rx-7. it was their shot into the import sportcar market. i hate the auto though, the car should have never been built like that. also should have never been made with a wet manifold tbi.

i have seen several conquest that have done the 4g63 conversion. and if i remember right 4g63 dragsters are doing 8 sec in 1320. it my personal belief that the 4g63 should have never been fwd. it can make too much power for that. a good rwd with limited slip lets a boosted 4g63 rock. thats my 2 cents.

 

sorry the delay. i got caught up in some stuff. i am reducing the price to $3000.00 obo and i have pics. good pics this time. one thing has changed. the a pillar pod and gauges are not staying. thanks
