My plans for the car is to basically get it running first, preferably with a 350 carb or possible TPI, but if the 305 can be an easy fix, then i will use that temporarily. i plan to have tyhis car done by springtime, and it will only be a summer car. got some connections for auto body and paint work, so it will be painted black eventually with the original IROC decals. i plan on getting the IROC rims also with nice rubber. need an auto tranny and driveshaft to get it moving first. then build it up from there and hopefully shoot for low 13's in the 1/4 mile (with the 350). :lala: Until then, i'm accepting donations!!! i have a pass. side t-top if anyone wants it.
I will add a more detail of my plans on the website sometime soon.

well might as well update u since i have nothing else to do- i got the 305 out and it's been hanging in my garage for about a week now- finally got my engine stand yesterday so im going to mount it and get the oil pan off today. i'll probably start sanding the engine compartment today too (much fun).
i got my inspiration to get this done (and running mid 13 atleast) last night. while hanging out at taco bell looking for people to race my friends GTP, i was talking to this kid with a WRX and said i was building an IROC. i said about 380hp to the crank im planning and all of a sudden he starts pulling these numbers outta his @$$ and says ok so about 320 to the wheels and in a 5000lb car you should be running about 14.7's. wow, good job. no not really- i kept pretty quiet and said 5000lb?!?! he said yeah his friend had a gta that was 4800. huh. nice. ok so i didn't say anything else because i hope this kid keeps on thinking im going to be driving a high-14 sec car. I CAN'T WAIT 'TIL THIS CAR IS DONE!!! or at least running. my other friend was there thats building a 81 camaro with over 400hp that should be done the same time as mine. we were talking about how we gotta go there next summer and see whats up. i can't wait!!!
well, im going to go take my engine apart.....
