CF Raceway-Night of Fire!!!!

Tryin to get this posted up earlier than usual, we're having our annual night of fire at the track next Sat. July 26th. Gates open at 1pm, time trails start at 2pm and eliminations at 5pm. Show starts at 7pm as far as the wheel standers, jet cars, outlaws are concerned to be followed by fireworks after dark. If you've never been to the track, this is a great day to come with the scheduled exhibition cars-if you've never heard a semi packin 3 jet engines that burns and then blows our fence over every year, it's must see, heck the outlaws are worth every penny to-only guys I've ever seen goin ***** out towards the wall and never lift the whole way down!!!
And as long as your comin up, down, over...anty up and jump into street or trophy class, for either $15 or $35 you have a chance at winning some $$$ and running in front of a ton of people. Just don't forget to stop by my pits and say howdy.
check out www.cedarfallsraceway.com for anymore info.

well

I went to the test and tne so your car but no you. I drove up in the cam an hour and a half run to low 12 passes untuned untouched tire pressure and drove home. My baby likes the 12.222 but should have been near the 11.77. Traction sucked for me.

T&T are never gonna be a 100% hook. There are just waay to many street cars with radial tires tearing up the launch pad, so the track is very conservative with the dynabite. I'm running the S-10 now, so last Fri. we had both vehicles out and I was jumping back and forth. The truck was only getting 1.55 60' on Fri. and then on Sat. and Sun. they were 1.45 leaving at 4000 with the transbrake so that gives you an idea on the traction. I did see the primered chevy 2 station wagon up there, does Chris still own that or did he sell it?, I could'nt tell who it was since he had a helmet on.
Anyways, running the 2 cars/2 classes thing is hard as hell. Did aliright with the truck for a first outting, went three rounds then cut a bad light and lost. Ended up winning street classs both days with the bird, finally got her back in the class it was built for as she did'nt like Pro class to well. Hopefully they'll have the web site updated soon-went from 8th to 2nd in street points after this weekend-and I missed 3 races since I was running Pro-alot of the guys were pissed, but oh well-ya don't get **** but a trophy for winning street class anyways.
Damn dude, anytime you can drive up an hour blow out some 12.2's and drive home, that's good ****. Sounds like you're getting everything worked out on your set-up. I'm considering the possibility of getting a Procharger this winter and seeing what that can do since my motor is so small it should be about right as far as compression and stuff is concerned, would think I could get into the 11's, but we'll have to wait and see. Still have to sell our old house yet, and re-roof this new place and build a garage so it could be awhile.

well

my new electric water pump swap and power steering delete should put me well into the 11's. After my next paycheck and paying bills I am going to get her dynoed tuned, and then it is nitro time (oh yeah). Yes chris still owns the wagon. He is a little upset at his traction on nitrous (there is none), and the black mustang is their buddy's who they came up with.

Got your instant message, but did'nt log in to reply. I was out there tonight-I imploded the ring gear in my old rear end, the new one I got from the bone yard for a crutch ended up being a 2.73 instead of the 3.73 they said it was. Gonna throw in my budies 7.5" w/ 4.11 for next weekend and see how it acts with that steep a gear and my combination then Mon. calling Quick Performance and ordering my Ford 9", thinking pretty confidently it's gonna get a 3.70 for the cam I got, think it's gonna peter out to quick with the 4.11's, so we'l have to wait and see. Went 3 rounds in the Truck tonight and lost cause a bad light, we both ran our dails-I was .01 off, but he had a .505 to my pathetic .539

I ran the 4.11 in my 9 inch I was very happy with the difference gears can make. I should be up soon. I want to see what modifications have done towards hp.

Well scratch the 9", bro-in-law fraged his motor out there Sat. so he's putting his small motor back in and wants his carb back, and the bone yard that screwed me called and had the 3.73 rear end, so I ordered the 950HP, Edelbrock plate that has the fancy braided lines that go to each bowl, -8AN braided hose, etc...$1K in a 3 minute conversation for a carb set-up and the rear end cover with the preload bolts, kinda want htis rear to last a little longer and I plan to weld the axle tubes as well since that's what everyubody said will help along with the cover-we'll see. HOPEFULLY will have it bolted all back together Fri. afternoon after I close on my old house, would like to see it at the Pro-am race this weekend.

Is that a Sperry Engine? I am having him build my new bullet for next year and it better hold together for 6 g's in the short block.

The Sperry motor is in the S-10, no problems as of yet. Bro-in-law really needs to farm out his short blocks, he just don't know it. So far he's about 6 for 6 on smoking motors, at least this one got a few passes before he blew it, 2 times it blew on break in. Sorry bastard does'nt know the meaning of the word cheap either so it's definately not a parts faliure problem, just something he's missing big time. I literally could have bought this house for what he's spent in motor parts in the past 2 years.
