i think that they are planning the next meeting for mid august--if anyone has any ideas where to have it(keeping in mind that the distance that we would all have to travel is not the same--there are people from Peoria and a few of us from N.W.In that will also be coming)! the last meeting that we had was in Utica at one of the state parks.that was a lot of fun but there were only a handfull of people that actually came. i would like to have a good turnout for the next meet.so if anyone has ideas post them and let us know!!!!

I have finally got my camaro going back together and want to play this weekend. Sorry that I started this thread and never got back to you guys but my car was having problem after problem. I have the entire front suspension off the car and the entire intake off but have everything ready and going back together. I am suprised at the number of paople interested in getting together

kinnda off the topic, but I was wondering where are some good spots people race in the chiagoland aera? I know of a few places people sit in a parking lot, but I only know of Doughty(Spelling?) Road where you park on the side and watch misc. cars race(till the cops come and stop it). There any other good ones around?

 

This is a public site. I doubt you're going to be able to get anyone to spill. Especially if the cops aren't bothering them. Stick to the spots where people just sit, and listen. If you really want to race it'll find you. You'd best bring your wallet though.

 

While working on my car I have been continually running into problems. I am way behind schedule and need some help!

From Golf, take RT 53 south and get off on Lake st going west until the corner of Bloomingdale and Lake. Or take Roselle rd south to lake st.

I got my car running!! I want to meet up with some of you guys. Anyone want to meet in the naperville area on Friday or Saturday? There are car shows every Friday night down-town Downers Grove. They take upi the whole down-town area. we could meet somewheres else and then cruise trough the show. It would also be nice to burn some rice

There's also stuff going on at Blue Top, that's a bit of a ride, and Super Chevy show at Route 66. Lots to do, can't deceide on anything.

I've never been to downtown Downers. Where's that at? I go to 4 corners a lot, or the Taco Bell ***** Mecca on Rickert &75th.

 

The show in Downers Grove is in the downtown area right on main street. The turn out is usually pretty large. I would not mind meeting at the 4 corners and then cruising to the show. It is usually 5-7:30ish pm.

How about everyone who can, get to the four corners (NE corner of 75th and Lemont road) around 6 pm and we can cruise to the Downers Grove show.

 

iv got a ugly car ...the wheel well is primer grey, and im not done getting the rust holes out....

i i show on fri. you'll have to forgive the integra and gmc z-71. but the camaro's down, the t/a has rocker to valve cover issues plus more and the judge is in iowa getting the interir finished...i'll try to be there to talk ad cruise with ya though.

hey deck man, hasn't been a meet around rockford for a while. we should get together again, my car will be drive able soon. we can meet like last time. head up to the drag strip and then cruise w/ everyone. i don't really know everyone, just mark w/ the 91 firebird, so if u guys come to rockford for a meet let me know. i know me and mark would love to meet up again.

 

looks like i caught this to late, i just got my car back 2 days ago (i only got 3/4s of my bumper but even the broken part shines like new!). so im sorta ghettoed out until next summer when i can afford to fix it. but ill cruise, i usually goto 159th and Harlem White Castles to check out rides and stuff. tho i dont race craigpimps@netscape.net if anyone wants to cruise or something.

Yes, my poor old 305 has developed a rod knock which has out me out of comission probably until next summer

It is possible that I could get it out by late september if anyone wanted to hep me pull/replace the engine

 

Didn't you just get done working on that engine? That sucks dude. Yeah, I was there. I gave up pretty quick since I was about 15 mins late and went to the cruise. Very cool. It was a lot bigger than I expected, lots of variety too.

 

Yeah, I just got all the electronic/idling bugs worked out and the dam thing thanks me by producing a rod knock
