Anyone Going 2 The Car Craft Show In St Paul Mn On July 19-21st??
IS ANYONE HERE GOING TO THE CAR CRAFT SHOW FROM JULY 19-21ST IN ST. PAUL MINNESOTA??? IF YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN TO THIS SHOW THEN YOU HAVE NOT SEEN ONE OF THE BEST CAR SHOWS TO COME TO MINNESOTA OR THE FIVE STATE AREA FOR THAT MATTER. OPEN HEADER PARADE,BIKINI CONTEST,DYNO CHALLENGE,BURNOUT CONTEST,SWAP MEET,HUNDREDS UPON HUNDREDS OF CARS. AND YOU CAN EVEN DRIVE YOU CAR AROUND THE MN FAIRGROUNDS ALL DAY WITH OPEN HEADERS. THE SHOW IS AT THE MINNESOTA STATE FAIR GROUNDS ON JULY 19-21ST. I AM IN SOUTHERN MINNESOTA AND I HAVE GONE FOR THE PAST 10 YEARS NOW. I AM TRYING TO PUT TOGETHER A MUSCLE CAR CONVOY TO GO TO THE SHOW ON THE 21ST. EMAIL ME IF YOU WOULD WANT TO JOIN THE CONVOY(FREE). I DON'T WORK FOR CAR CRAFT AT ALL. IT JUST HAPPENS TO BE THE BEST SHOW OF THE YEAR AND I REALLY LOOK FORWARD TO IT EVERY JULY LIKE A LITTLE KID LOOKS FORWD TO X-MAS.I THOUGHT A CONVOY OF MUSCLE WOULD BE A REAL KICK *** WAY TO GO UP TO THAT SHOW. IF WE GET A GOOD TURN OUT THEN WE'LL HAVE A CONVOY EVERY YEAR. http://members.ebay.com/aboutme/84transam/

I am planning on going. I'm trying to hit all the big ones this year. I will be at the carshow in Jefferson, WI next weekend. And will also be going to Iola, WI this year again. Maybe my car will be done by then to enter it, but no big deal if it isn't. Just nice to drive it to them.

I'll be there again this year with my purple 89 Formula. My DFI tuning issues are history thanks to F.A.S.T. Electronics, so this year we'll be ready to tear up the dyno challenge.

With the Chassis Dyno it use to be you got there early and got your name put on the list and then hoped they got to you. I'm not real sure, but I think last year they did something different. It almost looked like they were picking the how they wanted from the list of who signed up. As long as I don't break before July, I guess I'll find out.
I've been to all of the and they keep getting better every year. Just wish they had drag racing on their list of activities. Of course if they did that I'd have to cut down on the amount of 'beverages' consumed and we wouldn't want that![Big Grin](https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Rumor has it that Bud Light and Schmirnoff will be sponsoring our group this year

I hear ya. drag racing is the only thing this show doesn't have. I can't imagine anyone ever walking away from the Car Craft Show disappointed. I'm sure if Car Craft found a location that would allow drag racing then it would maybe move to that location but then you have liability concerns if some idiot wrecks there car going down the track and gets hurt. I saw the burn out contest last year but I guess the year before some guy drove his car right up on the concrete barrier that surrounds the cars during the burnout contest. I would have loved to see that. those guys really beat on there cars for the burnout contest. I would do it once just so my wife could take pics then if I won my round I would back out of it and say something is wrong with my car. once would be enough for me lol. alot of breakage last year. I have almost all of it on video from last year.

Car Craft is a great show, I'll be there this year in my friend's El Camino. Definitely go if you haven't been there before.
There is also going to be an all GM car/truck show at the Minnesota State Fair Grounds on June 9th.

Hey transam84 --
The show on June 9th is being put on by the GMCCA (General Motors Car Club Association)
On the registration form I have there isn't a phone number to call, just the form to fill out and mail in. It's only $7 to enter your car.
You can write them or look them up in the phone book if you want. There address is:
GMCCA
4011 Fordham Dr. NE
Minneapolis, MN 55421
Or, if you e-mail your mailing address I can send you a copy of the registration form.

I'll be there again this year also. To find out about more shows locally in Minnesota, check out www.autoswalk.com. They list almost all the weekly shows/cruises and all the scheduled shows and events. Check out the site, you won't have any excuse for missing a show!
