89-Iroc Dyno Tuning Results Are In

Well, after a few hours on the dyno I think I got as much as I can get with the current setup. I started with 251 HP @ 4700 RPM and 311 FTLB TQ @ 3650 RPM and ended with 266 HP @ 4800 RPM and 326 FTLB TQ @ 3650 RPM. Before the heads, cam and base-plate upgrade I was at 225 HP so total gain including tuning is 41 HP and around 50 FtLb of TQ.
Peak power was made with an AFR of 12.5 to 12.8 at 35 degrees total timing. I was able to dial in my cold start, idle and now I am working on improving my MPG by setting up cruzing/light load closed loop to run at 15.1 AFR.
Here is an example (the 2nd graph) of how a change to AFR can make a power output change. I ran two dyno runs back to back and all I changed was the Power Enrichment table between runs. I bumped the AFR from 12.2 to 12.8 on the 2nd run and pickup around 4 HP more. Using AutoProm and TunerPro RT the changes only took a few seconds and the dyno gives the feedback needed to measure the results of the changes real time.
Here is the data:

Very cool, i was thinking of getting my car dynoed before the end of the year as i am going to be doing a lot of work to the motor over the winter id like to get a before and after result. Not sure if id need any chip burning(prolly wouldnt hurt) but how much would you charge for 2-3 runs? If you want all the specs on my car i can PM you, and you can tell me if its worth burning a chip. If not just a dyno pull would be cool.
Thanks

Steve,
You have a nice car! A baseline run on the dyno before any changes is a very good idea. We offer a "before" and "after deal". PM me and I will give you price details. I will give you a good deal for sure as a member of this forum.
After a few runs on the dyno and details on what you are doing for upgrades we will know if a new PROM burn is required. After any motor changes, we can almost always optimize power by some adjustments.

Car: 1991 Camaro B4C
Engine: L98 350 cid (5.7L) TPI v8
Transmission: 700 R4 auto trans
Axle/Gears: 10 bolt w/girdle & 3.42 MotiveGears
Good luck with the dyno run.
I made one too many runs last week on the dyno
& think I may now have a leaking head gasket.
And with 145,000 miles on my mostly stock L98 350 TPI,
this is going to end up being an expensive dyno day.
239 hp @ 4300 rpm &
340 ft. lbs. torque @ 3100 rpm.
