Sun, Mar 12 @ 2:00 in Rockville - Gathering
Okay, it's official. The Montgomery County peeps have decided to have a gathering! The details:
Sunday, March 12th at 2:00 p.m.
@ Cici's Pizza
12111 Rockville Pike
Rockville, MD 20852
Warning from the locals - watch your speed and driving. Don't want anyone getting tickets.
Let us know if you're planning on attending so we can get a body count and let the Restaurant know. I hear it's all you can eat $4.00 -- not a bad deal.

Okay, I posted this on efa, fbodyhideout, camaroz28, z28 and here. If anyone else can think of somewhere I've missed that has a group of Maryland, DC or Virginians please let me know or make a post on the site. I belong to a bunch of them, but I know there's probably more out there I've never even heard of.

Cory, glad to hear you and Cyndy are going to make this one. See if you can't generate some interest from the other Virginia peeps at the gathering this weekend. Weather looks like it's going to be great -- wish I could be there instead of having to prep for the birthday sleepover -- ten 10to11 year old boys running around my house all night, urgh! Most of the time I have to keep them away from my cars...maybe I can hide my cars somewhere, lol.
See you next week!

Hey, Chris -- see if you can generate some interest with the Glen Burnie crew or others in Baltimore...I don't visit that side of the world much, so don't know anyone I can solicit directly to.

I'd go but the Camaro is not tagged or ready for the street yret, gotta fix a leaky vavle cover and rear brakeline before she moves.
Plus i think it would be a little Blasphemous to show up in a Mustang (my Daily driver)

From early on the other thread (not threat, lol) was more interested in getting a bunch of people together than what kind of car you drive...so Mustangs are welcome! Bikes, trucks, cars -- whatever -- if you're a car lover you are invited. Liger might be coming from PA -and he will be driving his Mustang too.
Come on out -- spring is just around the corner and we're all wanting to get out and meet, just do it! LOL.

I'm in
I probably won't have my Camaro with me since it's just getting delivered today & I don't think I'll have time to get it inspected and tagged by next Sunday.
I'm looking forward to meeting some local third gen folks as I start to get back into third gen ownership. I'll try to get a couple of other local owners to come along too.
The pizza is pretty good and the salad's and pasta aren't shabby either .

Very cool -- my son had a sleepover last night and one of the father's said he used to have a 79 Camaro Z28 and would probably try and make it up there. Don't know what he drives now, but who cares? Right?
Looks like it's going to be a bigger than I thought it would -- which I think is great...maybe we can make it a once a month thing.

cool, one of my ideas actually worked...and right around the corner from my house. gotta take it to the tranny shop tomorrow, it better be ready by sunday, it should be though, it just sounds like a stick tv valve, or sticky governor valve. all you need is the title to get some tags for your car. ill talk to the owner to see if we can get permission to stay in the lot...if not well take our chances on no cops (shouldnt be a problem). otherwise, i know of a couple lots nearby on the same road that would work well also. cant wait to see people there, i didnt think people would come from far and wide, im so excited to meet everyone. lol george, maybe your car will be down to 3 colors by then.

As long as we go into the restaurant and give them business, they really shouldn't care. If we just hang out in the parking lot, they will probably have a problem with that.
Sorry you won't make it Chris. See you next time around -- when it gets warmer, I'll be a bit more willing to travel for the gatherings and the Mt. Airy Jimmie Cone should be starting sometime in April -- that's every other weekend.

With the board down I was afraid it this would be forgotten by Sunday, lol -- well, with this great weather a cruise is always a good thing. I really hope that I see those who wanted a Montgomery County event at the gathering. Do your best to be there.
I also saw notice of a show or something in College Park on April 12(?) -- let's talk about getting together here in April and see if we can generate even more interest.

I see that someone asked Charlie (of Central Maryland F-Body) to put the word out to all their members -- thanks to whoever did that. Hopefully the CMF gatherings will start back up again soon -- they are generally in Westminster, but that's probably the most central spot in Maryland.

Glad to see everyone is still going to make it -- with the board down it was touch and go, you know? Couple of people coming from Fbodyhideout (those crazy Virginians) and some guy stopped me yesterday on the way home asking about the car and I told him to come on by too -- he has a Mustang though---don't be too hard on him, he obviously loves all hotrods if he liked my car.
See you there Sunday at 2:00 p.m.!

ok, i just talked to the manager. he said its fine with him, and he had a good idea too. he said if we each bought a takeout pizza (you can get a large for like 4 bucks or something) and we sit out in the parking lot and eat it, we cant have any problems either. he said just make sure to see him tomorrow to pass it by so he can come out if the cops give us any trouble. i honestly doubt it will need to go that far though. cant wait to see you guys and your cars there.

Well, the weather's holding up nicely and I spent the entire day cleaning winter off of and out of my car -- actually spent last night cruising Rockville Pike a bit to see how bad the police were -- they were out, but they didn't bother me at all.
Will see everyone there at 2!

ARGH! Didn't get to make it to meet y'all. Wish I could have but I got hit by a bug yesterday that didn't leave me very food or travel friendly. Always when the weather is perfect!
At least I was able to sit in the back yard with my new RS and read the Factory Manual that just arrived Thursday.
Hope all went well & that all had a good time!

It was a great showing -- the Virginians from F-bodyhideout were the first to appear with the Marylanders not too far behind, a few more Marylanders even showed up just before I left. I was really surprised at the number of people who showed and really hope that we can do this again.
I'm downloading pics now to my cardomain site, I'll post a link soon -- it's just taking so long to download, urgh! I didn't get nearly enough pics -- got too wrapped up in talking to everyone and admiring their cars. I apologize in advance and know that others took pictures and will hopefully get what I missed. Like ZZ4 said, represent and let us know everyone who was there so that we can make sure we notify you on the next Rockville/Montgomery County gathering.

What -- do I hear a 'next time?' LOL -- well we have the Atlantic Mega Meet coming up on April 1st, so perhaps April 22nd or 23rd would be a good date for the next one? Is there any preference on Saturdays or Sundays? And we got no trouble at all at CiCi's Pizza and it was closer to the Virginia folks than they originally thought -- so does the place work as well? Give me some feedback and I'll start generating interest on the boards again for the next one.
