Ocean City Crusin Spring

I just replied to the old ocean city post because I am dumb but I will start a new thread so its not so confusing. Whos going to the spring crusin in OC? What car you bringing and what mods you gonna have done by then?

Maybe some of us could rent one of those big *** condos with like 3 rooms and all stay there.

I'll go, since oct. was basically a wash. It's a long drive in the race car though. Might puss out and barrow a trailer.

Trailors are hard tho because people have a tendency to take up like three parking spots when parkingis non existant in ocean city at crusin as it is. But if we can get reserved parking maybe that would work. Or if any of the local guys would let you park the trailor like right outside ocean city at there house or somthing and let you drive in that be awesome

compression is 13.5 so that has something to do with it. even though it doesnt run on pump it doesnt stop me from driving it. i will be trailering it down of course but i drive it around town and such, as long as weather dont play a factor. i was down there in oct and that just plain sucked all i did was eat and drink so hopefully i can get out and drive it some this time and meet everyone.

Whys there so many people local and no one goes to this but a few of us? Are people not understanding what this event is? This is the not to miss car event of the year. Ask anyone who has gone.

When can you say you drove on the street with cars like that GTO there. Come on guys if money is an issue like I said we can split a nice room.

Whats holding you all back?

If the weather is nice I will be there and probably Steve86TA as well. We just play it by ear, too many years of driving down and spending big $ on crappy rooms just to sit in the rain. Hopefully this spring will be dry!

i went last spring and i can say, it was the greatest experience of my life. we just sat on the side of the road all night (well from like 11-4) just watching all the cars go by listening to a boom box, drinkin some beer. best time of my life.

Last time I went there it was wet out and I slid the 91 down half the block sideways. With all the camera flashes straight down the strip that was the greatest time of my life.

Now if I would of just stoped and payed one of them guys to email me a picture of that lol.

The uncertainty of the weather holds me back. Plus with kids still in school and other responsibilities, it's very hard for me to get away and participate every day of this cruise.

The best I could do is come down Saturday afternoon and stay for a few hours.

I'll have the IROC tagged by then so I'll be down for the May show. Most I'll have done is probably exhaust...and a primer fender.

I have been looking found a place like on 5th street has like 6 double beds. (2 rooms with 2 beds, living room has two pull outs) That was like 147$ a night. There condos up on 117th I usualy get but thats a pain in the *** to get down to the show and the boardwalk parade and so on since parking is like *** there during this. So the closer the better. Anybody else know of another place? I presume it has to be with in walking distance of the boardwalk and 10th or lower street. I have been on 17th and I tell you thats a hell of a walk unless we take the trolly (4$ a trip).

We could do two linked hotel rooms even?

I don't smoke myself so maybe we could have one room smoking and one not? I sleep like *** with that no offense to anyone.

How do you guys feel about drinking? I am not all into that either. I am there for the cars not to get drunk. But thats just me each there own.

Wirse comes to worse we could just sleep on the sidewalk. The sounds of the engines will put me to sleep.

Hmm to think of that that smiley must be using a reverse valve body on a TH350 400...it was driving me crazy why he was pulling it backwards when shifting lol. SOrry I just had to figure that out.

im gonna be at my condo which is around 50-60th street...Ill be with my dad and his buddies, im bringing my girl and that leaves us packed there so i couldnt really smuggle anyone in. Rain or shine im not leaving this time early. To many things to get done to the car for the show. Should have new seats/seatbelts and other interior stuff done. Either louder muffler or hollowed out cats...and maybe a shift kit. Id love to have a T56 in but id be dreaming. Im getting all excited just thinking about this car show.

also... its amazing how broke christmas has made me

Ok gonna pop this back up to the top and I had another idea that I share with other members.

I already have a CB in my car I just need to hook it up but I think it would be a good idea to have one in ours cars even if its a handheld...because if someone is having problems, has to pee, is thirsty, or whatever and just wants to stop...be handy.

What you guys thinks?

I bought mine for like 45$ and its the big reciever trucker kind.

I wanna go. I think it would look sweet as s**t if a whole group of thirds genners rolls down there together. I know that I'm not gonna be able to come down till fri or sat. But even still, going back in a group would be cool.

xomega....... drive up for this this is a fun weekend. there are a ton of cars just driving around. this is where you see the cars with the wheelie bars, blowers just about everything and anything you can imagine. just for example i saw a late caprice style cop car that had a blown big block in it with wheelie bars on it, working lights, everything. it just cool to be around people that share the same passion as you, and dont mind the burnouts or noise. come up it will be worth it.
