hey guys/gals, i e-mailed mir for times for the midday maddness on Sunday march 6th and they replied with this

"On Sunday's in March Mid-Day Madness will open at 10am and elim will start approx 3pm."

I will be planning on getting to MIR around 12-1230 ish. So i will be on the road around 1100. i can meet some people if they want to cruise over . i usually meet my buddys behind the bj's near the mr tire on rt 4 just after rt 235.

Afterwards if you guys want to we can run out somewhere for dinner/hangout somewhere.

any sugestions on a place to go afterwards? there are a few good restraunts on rt 235. Berts is a cool car place for eating..

open to ideas.

Longtime reader, first time poster! I would like to get in on this. I am willing to lead a group down to MIR (I practically grew up there). I live in Waldorf so we can meet somewhere on 301 (people from Baltimore), it doesn't matter where to me. Berts is an awesome idea. I'll check on how late it will be open on Sundays.

LoL, thanks I sure try to be. For most all folks the more notice the better, as it increases their chance to be able to make it to an event. Hopefully this helps!

Far south of Baltimore, in St. Marys County. You take 301 all the way down almost to Virginia. Then turn on 234, go for a while, and there is MIR.

Quicker route!!!

301 south...
Left at Mattawoman-Beantown Road (Route 5)
Left at Leonardtown Road (Route 5 again...)
Right at Route 236
Ride 236 all the way to the end (nice curvy road to test your handling... be careful of the Amish horse-n-buggies!!!), make a left at the stop sign (Route 234).
Make immediate right into MIR.

This route shaves about 30-45 minutes off of the trip to MIR. Just be careful of those sneaky cops on Route 5...

Jaydubb- you convinced me! I haven't been that way in a long time. Don't usually go that way b/c I live beyond the 301/5 split. I think it will be more scenic too.

this is gonna be a good turn out. when there lets all try to get near each other in the pits. if you park up close to the lane entrance its prtty crowded and prolly wont be us grouped together... id say we park near the bath room house .

what time do we all want to try to get there? early or little after open?

I was thinking for the route 5 trip, you guys could meet me at the WaWa on 301/5. It is right after 301 meets 5 and just before they split again. If you guys need it, you can get gas there or you can wait untill we get more toward the track and use the little gas station I like to go to. At least for the people who want to go route 5, we should stop at Bert's on the way back. Oh, lets start figuring out what time we want to be at the track. I'll time how long it takes to go down rt.5 to the track this weekend so I can make a meeting time.

Sorry for the delay, college gets too much in the way when it comes to cars.

For route 5 to the track(Everyone is welcome to join the group):

Lets meet up at 10:00 A.M. at the Wawa in Brandywine. After 5 and 301 merge together, there are two lights and the third one is the Wawa. You can't miss it. It usually takes me about an 1 hour and 15 min to get from Owings Mills to my house in White Plains....so around 45 min to an hour to get to Brandywine from 795. It shouldn't take more than 45 min to get to the track from Wawa.

I hope the weather is nice on the 6th, I want to test the new gears that I may be getting soon.

PM me to swap cell phone numbers in case of questions.
