I hear ya! Me too. Been busy restoring my daily driver. Liquidblue is just sitting there looking pretty with lots of backing out of the garage to make room to work and the occasional drive to fill up the tank.

Re: "it" has begun....
I did stop by the old dealer where my 89 formula 350 came from and where I was going to order my JY car.
I would love to have the building but it's to far from my house to make me feel warm and fuzzy about security. Even have a neon Pontiac sign I could put up....

Re: "it" has begun....
Since it was nice out on sunday, this happened. Yes, that's a real 74 SD 455 TA 4speed. I had driven and almost bought it for 6500 b4 it was restored.
My friend Bill has been busy with life and has only put 1,000 miles on it since it was restored(20yrs ago)
My black 89 and my friends maroon 89 were both sold new from this old Pontiac dealer

Looks like you guys had a nice turnout. Wish I could have made it, but the lack of insurance on the bird and the enormous list of honey does...

1st time I saw it on tgo, 10-13-2008
Greg n I, Thanks, you have noooooo idea what it means to me !!!!!
305 tpi 5speed R6P car with the dealer installed SLP 50hp kit. Original owner didn't opt for the air box though. "As is" needing a bath
Greg burning them down before it leaves
Loaded up
Planned to restore it back to stock with it's dealer installed SLP parts but with all these other SLP parts I've collected, "what if" I went next level?
Either way, "It" has begun..
Some 1st year pictures.

I can't wait to see this car completely together in person. I don't think it even had a motor the last time I saw it.

You know, even though I saw this car in person...and maybe I noticed at the time...but I didn't recall how wild the throttle and cruise cables were with that intake system. Crazy.

I think, that's the only reason they were made, for the later cars that were pulled off the lots to be converted.

Re: "it" has begun....
Tont is right. SLP never intended to have to accommodate the cruise control linkage in the Firehawks. They did seem to have a plan for customer cars. I suppose that provided the basis for a couple of the later Firehawks that had cruise. Bruce's #24 is a B4U car with K34 cruise. #25, #26 , #27 were not B4U but have cruise. #21 and #22 do not have cruise.

Re: "it" has begun....
Had some time to button up some battery box details.
Now that I know the lower works how I want it, I'll remove it an build the "pretty" one.

Re: "it" has begun....
Is that a sealed box or does it vent? What kind of battery did they use back then? Looks nice! 👍🏻 Seems as though passenger side is ideal, but they would have had to sacrifice the spare in the process. Did these cars come equipped with shut offs or any safety features like that?

Re: "it" has begun....
Sealed pretty much, mine does vent to the bottom of the car.
Stock type/size battery
I would have put it in the pass side, but SLP didn't, so I'm not either for this one.
Other than 005, which we think was done by an owner, I haven't seen another one with a shut-off yet, but that doesn't mean there wasn't one or a few with it.

Would it be safe to assumed there was a minimum count needed? That’s a lot of gaskets! But hey no worries about ever needing one! Lol
