Future Repaint.Should i keep black or Do silver?
I was debating whether when i paint my car in the next upcoming years if i should keep the GM black, or go into a silver. Ive seen some Trans ams with a silver paint job where they had the rims i want (American Racing Torque Thrust Black gloss) And the vents on the car, which are on the fenders and the hood, were black. I personally think it looked great. At the moment i have a triple black trans am. So i figured with the black interior itd look great. Especially after tinting the T-Tops and the windows. What are your Guy's opinions? Thanks. Heres a few pictures of what i think looks cool, and what the car looks like now.
II love the color. Just try to imagine the vents being black. ANd the side markers being smoked.
Heres a yellow i like haha
Just dont like the rims. Okay heres my car now

I don't think black vents look good on a non black car, it'll look like you stuck on some replacements and were too cheap to paint them to match.
The only problem with changing the car color is that you'll need to do the door jambs too (more $$), and then the under hood area wont match, although the black under there may work in your favor. If you change the color I would at least make sure they paint the inside lips of the fenders, the tray between the headlights, and under the hood.

I like the idea of silver outside and a black engine compartment and the black interior,
and please don't leave the hood and finder vents black if you paint the car silver. Looks tacky

I agree, if you paint it a different color, you need to do the whole thing or it just looks cheap and doing it right is going to cost big bucks. A good glossy black paint job is hard to beat IMO, but it does have 2 drawbacks. For one, it's hard to keep clean, every little speck of dust and pollen in the air starts to show up the second after you finish cleaning it. The other disadvantage is that every little imperfection in the body work or paint job seem to get visually amplified with a gloss black finish. I think that's why some body shops hate doing black cars.
